His arms are not pinned and he lands on the shoulder. Absolute disgrace that he was suspended

Potential to cause injury, like Rioli’s hit on Rowell or Atkins elbowing Ginivan in the head? Play on both of those times. It was gutless from the club not to take this to the tribunal
It doesnt really matter what you think the rulings should be. Its where the game is, that sort of tackle is outlawed, not really debatable. No point challenging in my opinion.

I like that except I’d have Macrae play VFL and get the development minutes in rather than sit idle as sub…

C Brown or Wilson as sub instead
I can't argue with that, and agree with the principle. I did have Cal as my sub for the Geelong game and got called out for that too as a waste of time...you can't win sometimes!

Given Cameron got five Coaches' Association votes, I would find it very unlikely he would be dropped.

Surely that's Geelong's Cameron not ours?
Yes:

10 Jeremy Cameron (GEEL)
8 Jamie Elliott (COLL)
3 Isaac Quaynor (COLL)
3 Taylor Adams (COLL)
2 Tom Stewart (GEEL)
2 Jordan De Goey (COLL)
1 Patrick Dangerfield (GEEL)
1 Cameron Guthrie (GEEL)

Amazing to follow this club. Eagles will welcome back 5 players this week , it”s like everything is scripted like a Greek tragedy opera , with Collingwood been the star lit up in lights when the curtains are opened. but we would not have it any other way , it’s what defines us a truly unique club

They'll probably cop some more protocol outs by the time the teams are named. But I hope not, give us them full strength as possible, if we play like we did in the first three quarters on Saturday we'll blow them off the park.

Anything to avoid the Eagles being embarrassed and the AFL criticised.

Agree , do not wish opposition clubs to lose players to injury/ailments , want us to be playing the best the oppo have to offer , on the same token , would be nice for us to have a slice of good karma on the injury front for a change

Roughy and maybe even Kreuger potentially available this week. Would be huge ins for us if they both come up.
Also, confirmed this Sidey was cramping on Saturday and is fine to play this week.

Roughy and Freddy ready this week ! where did you hear this ? hope your right

AJ (or Kreuger if available, but I'd leave him out if any risk) for JDG.

Roughead for Madgen.

We also have this guy called Scott Pendlebury who could increase his mid minutes if need-be.

I think there’s merit in looking at Wilson for WHE.

I agree. I know there is a lot of support for Johnson (and rightly so) but it's hard to separate the two across the first two weeks of VFL. I feel like it would depend on what the coaches want with Wilson better at linking up but Johnson a greater aerial threat inside 50. They've both proven to be goal scoring threats.

Needs to gain confidence in his ball handling. He's a fumbling machine at the moment, I think that VFL with that bit of extra time for a couple of weeks will manage his development better.

You're not wrong that Henry's been fumbly. I think what may work in his favour is that despite this he has still been a threat at ground level and has pulled some spectacular goals out of nowhere.

Having just read "The Boys Club", which details the corruption and vindictiveness at the top of the AFL, I wonder what there was in the Collingwood election process that went against McLaughlin's wishes and has led to the succession of over the top suspensions to Collingwood players while players from other clubs have their misbehaviour forgiven.
The overturn of Sloane's eye gouging on the grounds that "I wouldn't do that" is a clear indicator that there is something fishy going on. I think there is some payback going on, as St Kilda was paid back for Grant Thomas' comments about umpires and their egos. Remember the conversation on the plane back from Fremantle where the umpire said "now I know what it's like to get a win"?

I'm not sure there is anything going on but if that's where you're coming from Browne has been heavy in his criticism of the AFL's funding model and the soft cap. I can't imagine the AFL appreciate that.

Mitch Robinson would be livid seeing no charge at all for Andrew Gaff.

Absolute chook lotto

Henry has to stay in this kid shows promise.

I'm supportive of leaving Henry in but you've got to be careful not to impact his confidence or reward poor performance. There's a fine line to walk there. But I think he's doing enough despite the fumbles. It actually reminds me of Maynards development where he was left in at times despite suspect form but fast tracking his AFL experience was really valuable.

I can't wait for Roughead to return. I reckon we'd have won last week if he'd played.

I reckon Moore wouldn’t have had to cover more of the Earth than Jonty Rhodes either.
