The glaring issue is the lack of leg speed inside. Mitchell, Pendlebury, Adams, Lipinski, even De Goey looks slow.

Nothing in the 2s either.

this is it, our centre square players are all slow apart from Naicos

huge opportunity for McInnes tomorrow, needs to take it.
unfortunately MaCrae is injured, although not quick, he would be in the side

Mitchell, Adams and Lipinski can never be in the same side again

I want to see Cox as the main ruck. Give him the responsibility with Frampton deputising.

Powderpuff Cameron has been stealing a living for too long.

Out: Lipinski, Johnson, Murphy (injured)
In: Ginnivan, Cox, Frampton

If there were suitable replacements available then I'd have Adams, Mitchell, Sidebottom and Pendlebury out as well. They are absolutely cooked.

Nick Daicos as a mid worked for a while, but think it’s time we moved him back to half back.

Cameron isn’t consistent enough for us to play one ruck, Frampton looks next in line

Give Ginnivan another go before finals

Start Markov he doesn’t work as sub

I thought we fielded our best forward set up today. Turns out we didn’t.

So let’s go looking for another one - and it’s Ginni! He has to come in.

Agree with your other suggestions too.

Crisp has to play in there IMO
De goey has the burst so not worried about him.
I guess playing nick in there was the idea but he's just not physically up to it at this time.
Crisp looked genuinely weak today, didn't want to get dirty. Nick needs to go back to half back.

Team gave up Tonight

They looked to Dave. There was a time in our goal square in the last quarter, where our forwards just stopped and watched a Hawk run it out easily. The game was already lost, the hands were on the hips, but it was a horrible look.

I feel like we’re hanging for the week off. We look like we’re running in wet cement. If we’d won today, I’d say we should rest some tired bodies next week… but we kind of need to win now.

I’ll go:
OUT: Murphy (inj), Lipinski
IN: Frampton, Ginnivan

McCreery to become a regular midfield rotation. Josh Daicos to go into the centre bounces more. I’d actually persist with Nick as a midfield rotation for now, I don’t think Geelong and Brisbane will clamp him.

Agree with the above post that clearances and ground balls need to be our entire focus for the next 3 weeks. If we correct that, I am confident we will bounce back.

Our list isn’t big enough to drop everyone who deserves it, but my ins would be (pending VFL):

Cox
Ginnivan
Frampton
Hoskin-Elliott
Ol’ ‘One-hand’ Macrae

As much as I called him an uncoordinated spaz last week in the VFL, falling on top of players and throwing his body around for no reason I think Freddy’s unique style might do something to help us, as long as he doesn’t injure himself or any of our players.

I hope Finn is fit soon, don’t see much else ready to come in from the VFL mids. Either too young or not up to it (JC)

That match day thread as an embarrassment.

Carlton turned their form around, so can we. I’m glad the players arent as fickle as this board. I doubt they are sitting in the rooms going “ah well, season over”

Have to wait for injuries and vfl game. Given that’s basically full strength side it’s tough as nobody played well..

Watch on ginni, cox and kreugs tomorrow
Match day threads are about making spontaneous remarks in the heat of the moment. Today is one of the few times in which I have wanted or been able to participate in it and couldn't fault a comment from anyone on today's performance. Hopefully the boys are able to help raise the tone and sentiments in next week's thread.

Load training block in July creates heavy legs will have them cherry ripe in the finals.

Would hope so otherwise we wont be in the finals very long. I gave them a pass last week because of the tough hard game against Port. But today is unacceptable.

Sorry TGG. But the “seasons over” comments in the match day thread are beyond embarrassing. Yes we lost, yes it sucks. Yes there’s issues but we can turn it around
