That's the beauty of our talls. They don't give up much at ground level.Croft doesn’t count he will play more wing then KPP he’s just a tall unicorn

They’ve been rucking with Cripps quite a bit when TDK is off.Good game to do it as Blues will ruck McKay or Silvagni when TDK sits.
Good chance we see Cripps v Freijah in the ruck a few times. They’ve been rucking with Cripps quite a bit when TDK is off.

Cripps to tag Freijah? It'll be interesting to see how the best player in the AFL goes against Cripps.

Naughton only attended 2 CBA's v. the Pies, so can't get carried away but he is so good at ground level that I think it is worth persisting with in small doses.
I think we still have a competitive hit out this week against CarltankHonestly, other than Jones and JOD in if fully available have no idea what we will do this week, nor strong opinions.
The shocking start to the VFL season with only 1 game against witches hats to date and a bye this week has not allowed other list players to properly push their agenda's further, and our injury list still has too many certain starters out.
We should cobble together a competitive team again, whether that is good enough we will find out Friday night
I don't know why we don't use Naughts more as a second ruck. He's got a great leap and loves crashing into people. Great at ground level and defensively too.Naughton only attended 2 CBA's v. the Pies, so can't get carried away but he is so good at ground level that I think it is worth persisting with in small doses.
Exactly! Not disagreeing at all with the two previous posters but can we please , forever, stop mentioning Khamis in the same posts as ones about KPDs. I think he can be a good mid sized defender but KPD? NOOOOOOOOO
Small doses I can agree with. No more than a handful of CBs a match.Naughton only attended 2 CBA's v. the Pies, so can't get carried away but he is so good at ground level that I think it is worth persisting with in small doses.
Doesn’t have the ground ball game. He plays like a KPD but unfortunately just doesn’t quite have the sizeExactly!
I think he's closer to a Duryea replacement than key position!

I think we can if we bring Croft in. Then Naughts moves to his up the ground role again like last year.Small doses I can agree with. No more than a handful of CBs a match.
He's not the answer to the ruck problem and besides he's sorely needed elsewhere.
Yep I am 100% for it.The more I think about it the more I'm liking the idea of giving Croft a debut. He has a bit of swagger and is unlikely to be overawed by the occasion. He's the sort of versatile player Bevo would love. Can play traditional forward, wing, high HF, chop out in the ruck or even fill in as a KPD if we lose one of our talls there. He can intercept or be a third marking tall in attack. And he can run all day.
This versatility could be an excellent counter to any plans the Blues have for Darcy/Naughton (eg blocking, double-teaming). If Croft bobs up with 2-3 first half marks i50 and starts kicking goals from them, they will have to adjust. And that will allow us to revert to plan A.
He trained so that might not be correctHarry Mckay unlikely to play on Friday
They still have tomorrow to announce itLooks like no debutants? Or we would’ve got an announcement today?
