Great question. Wernt they appointed in June? Havent heard a squeak out of them since. Castlemaine even has a rep on board. Come on Forest get something.
Hopefully they are working hard on a five year strategic plan for the region over the summer ...

Forrest - I have heard that since kyneton left the opposition to ridiculous decisions has basically gone. I think with all the happenings since they left maybe they had a crystal ball ??

This far you would have to say they are a massive step down from the commission.
The commission had two things going for it, they knew things were stuffed and change was required and they knew the hub is useless and needed to be kept out of it.
That’s two big ticks in my eyes, two more than the council.
It’s the best piece of club management I’ve ever seen, that’s for sure.
Took guts to do it but they have secured the future of the club for many years to come.
The fact you knew and assuming others knew that the commission was aware things were stuffed and change was required is most likely reason it was dissolved.
The commissions thoughts were well known publicly, particularly after the all in pow wow they had with all clubs in the region. If I recall correctly, they were the ones that put the tiered league system on the table… albeit without any consultation with any of the leagues.

In another news, another hot scoop from Westy.
The league is dealing with the big issues this off season, the latest one being debated into the wee hours is whether or not to introduce an under 15s netball division.
Word is a couple of high profile staff have vowed not to rest unless this pressing issue is settled and have volunteered to head overseas on a fact finding mission if necessary.
Bless them.

Where are all of those clubs going?
Advantage GV in the race to add Moama to their ranks based on comments from Moama president and BFNL chair in said article.
And for Westy’s benefit the Murray league is a “major” league with a lot more going for it than the BFNL. Four footy comps, similar if not more netball, a very good gm, an even competition with multiple teams in contention to play finals going into last h/a round and missing out.
I’m a bit surprised on bothe fronts really, as GV don’t have U/14s footy like Murray league, and U/11s and U/13s netball..
