North Melbourne and Mazda are set to continue one of the longest running partnerships in Australian sport, with Mazda extending its partnership with the club by a further three years.
As principal partner of the Kangaroos since the 1999 season, Mazda will have been involved in an incredible 596 games at the culmination of the 2022 season, including the successful premiership campaign of 1999.
Next season will be the 25th year Mazda has been on board with the Kangaroos, and the three-year extension will take the partnership into its 27th year.
As part of the agreement, Mazda will continue as the sole major partner of both the AFL and AFLW programs, as they continue their commitment to the growth of women’s football.
“We are thrilled to be continuing our partnership with such a reliable and trusted brand as our sole major partner, and we are grateful for Mazda’s ongoing support of our football club,” North Melbourne CEO Ben Amarfio said.
“Mazda’s unwavering support of our club and their significant financial contributions over the past two decades has helped us achieve the strong financial position – with record membership and zero debt – that we are in today.
“Just as we strive to do at North Melbourne through our AFL and AFLW teams, Mazda deliver their customers a sense of connection and excitement through their quality vehicles. Our partnership is one that simply makes sense given our shared values.
“Our partnership continues to go from strength to strength – on the field with an exciting, young list and off the field with everything that’s happening in and around our Arden St home – and we look forward to celebrating 25 years of Mazda and the Kangaroos in 2023.”
Managing Director of Mazda Australia, Vinesh Bhindi reflected on the long-running partnership.
P.S - We've also signed Al Clarkson as coach for a 5 year term.
Exactly what I thought. I didn’t hear it though.is this for real??
this might mean he's bitter about something.....
Boot off flog. Whether whatever KickItAnywhere34 is saying is true or not at least he's using his real account. If your intel is close to the Clarkson camp, how come you had no information regarding him and any connection to Essendon ? You must of known/ heard the bombers would be a more likely candidate then the giants..
.A guy who worked there back when he was coach of Essendon said he use to squeal like a pig when he addressed the players after they lost.Kevin Sheedy on 5AA has just said Clarko may be coming to North because he wants to move us to Tas.
The guy is such a ******* campaigner.

“Almost 25 years ago Mazda and North Melbourne Football Club forged an alliance that has since become one of the longest-enduring in Australian sporting history, and with good reason – North Melbourne represents a rich and vibrant heritage, exceptional professionalism and determination and unwavering community dedication,” Bhindi said.
“These values fully align with our continual focus on human-centricity here at Mazda, and we’re therefore exceptionally proud to extend our full support of the club as we reflect on this strong partnership.”
