On one hand, thought Shanahan looked really good as an underager in the VFL when he played for us this year

On the other, next year will also have great kids around the top 10.

If we're going to make a play for Harley Reid, then we need the F1.

If Bulldogs and Richmond don't want to trade it for a couple of seconds (even three seconds is overs), then that's fine. The draft is deep enough to select quality players.

We better. We're lacking A-grade and game changing talent. We haven't had a player that can single handedly win us the game since Hird.

We need to at least make ourselves available to that. We've been put in a great position to capitalise on the NGA rule changes and make a play for one of the most talented youngsters in the game. Let's not spoil that advantage.
