Multiplat AFL 23: Launch Thread (Xbox release date TBC)

STATE OF PLAY:

• The game is out for Steam and PlayStation. There have been issues with Xbox release and it is unclear when the game will be available.
• Big Ant are aware that there are playability issues & bugs at present.
• Content has been temporarily removed from the game to identify where the issues lie.
• This content will be re-introduced via patches in the coming days.
• Big Ant have released a summary of what is to be reintroduced, which can be seen below.

The Steam reviews are are tough read. This is so sad all round. For 95% of people who wanted to play a good AFL game this one stings.

Yea, that's why BigAnt are getting such vitriolic reviews. They are reaping what they sowed.

And that is a fair call. But some people on here spend their whole time, bagging the game and Big Ant and but then complain or get upset when either A) their question isn’t answered or B) their demands aren’t met.
It works both ways and you treat people how you want to be treated. If you’re gonna be rude, disrespectful and complain, don’t get mad if you get ignored by the same people your piling the crap on.
I get you and other people are frustrated with aspects of the games launch but it’s a just a game and it’s just a video game company everyone just needs to chill.

I would have thought pro team and state leagues would be least of the worries given some of the footage and things like the interchange benches on the middle of the field.

Get the gameplay right before worrying about the other stuff.

Whilst you’re right, these things should have been in the game already according to BA so they’ve only got themselves to blame for not being transparent with us about certain features

Exactly, some of these people ask their questions in such rude ways and then act shocked when they get treated poorly back.

You can’t promise a feature for a 100 dollar game, get people to buy it, and then not have it on day one. That’s actually quite bad. Not sure how the false advertising laws look at that bad boy but I’m probably speaking out of my arse.

I didn't. I made about 5 posts in the other thread. Didn't ask any questions. Just read the devs response to others. And asking for a list of features isn't a demand, it's standard stuff any other game developer on earth would release before or at the time their game was released.

The people being all rude and nasty and horrible would have been blocked anyway.

No one had fairly standard questions like "what features will be in the game?" answered. No matter how polite and sore their knees were.

EDIT: the sore knees comment could be interpreted as dodgy. I meant they were on their knees begging, nothing more
