Close game.
Small forwards have always bothered us.
I think that midfield of theirs is beginning to hold it's own. Seriously good team in the making Adelaide.

Cats by 11 points.

When did Adelaide last win at GMHBA? I can't recall. Was it 2003? Anyway, it will be a close game for 3 quarters. Cats by 17 points

It is 2003. Only won in Geelong 3 times since they came into the competition. Brutal.

Some decent loss streaks at KP.

Adelaide surprises me though to be honest as outside the last couple of years they have been competitive for the whole time period unlike a couple of those other sides.

Adelaide - 2003 - 12 losses
Brisbane - 2003 - 13 losses
GC - Never (2011-Current) - 8 losses
Port - 2007 (Would have been 2001 if not for Henry Playfair) - 8 losses
St Kilda - 1999 - 11 losses
West Coast - 2006 - 9 losses
Western Bulldogs - 2003 - 11 losses

Another interesting game for us, with Adelaide's talls having the potential to cause problems, especially with Rhys Stanley and Jack Henry still out of action. Recently we've been using Sam de Koning and Mark Blicavs as makeshift ruck options, but I think we bring in Ceglar this work to battle O'Brien and let de Koning settle in the back half.

I think we've kind of rolled the dice the last two weeks that Sydney and Essendon's key forwards wouldn't be able to really hurt us and it worked, although Weideman kicked a bag on Sunday. A full-strength Adelaide is more potent up there no doubt, so I think de Koning is required in defence.

Good to see Bruhn and Henry have an impact last week and it looks like Jhye Clark is nearing a debut. Not expecting Cam Guthrie back this week, so similar to de Koning, it would be nice to have Blicavs as another big bodied option in the midfield and Parfitt may also be in consideration for a recall.

A return to the Cattery has come at the right time and hoping the Crows are feeling the after effects of an intense contest against the Pies, as Essendon were last week. I think we'll be good enough to continue climbing towards the top 4, but any return to our March form and we'll be in big strife.

Could be closer than what some think. Crows quite speedy and disciplined and quite a tough team. I can’t see Tommy having so much space this week as the crows run back quickly to defend space in defensive half… small forwards of crows with chaos balls coming in could be a challenge for cats too. Tough game!

There's no point in Cats supporters trying to act as if this will even be a contest down there. Especially ones who only talk about their own players. Hilarious post actually.

Match will probably reflect Geelong Vs Essendon, if Adelaide play decently. Your midfield won't roll over like Sydney's did down there and your forward line has plenty of weapons. Young sides on the road in Geelong can struggle though - the odd exception like Freo last year.
