This thread is not about Covid, lockdowns, or vaccines. It is about Donald Trump. While Trump was in office during the pandemic and his response to Covid is relevant, there are pertinent threads for you to post your opinions on those things in.

It might also do with reminding a few that when you post on the SRP, you are responsible for backing up/verifying your claims to fact. What this means is that you will be asked time to time to support your claims with evidence, to ensure that this forum is as free of misinfomation as we can make it.

I think unless you're rocking something clearly over the line e.g. a swastika, then a simple request to remove the offending item is sufficient.

I would bet heavily that most of the people voting for Trump, who were not financially or politically invested) do not consume international media, or read foreign forums. Everything they learn or think about comes from their media choices. Their cable TV, Fox; social media, FB/X/...; car radio, Limbaugh etal.; net channels, whoever.
Big Footy is an excellent example of what the world thinks of Trump and the US. You can be sure many other foreign language forums have the same attitudes towards the US. I've been lucky. College was on the border with Canada, more channels than American ones. Moved overseas, Japanese, Taiwanese, Chinese, Ah Jazeera, even the ABC (footy!). Americans are very insular and their media choices have consequences.

Are these P25 dudes actually good at there job? I was wondering if they are just a little boys JO club, who wouldn't let the big guys at the Federalists, who are actually quite politically astute, get in too deeply. Or is this the zone they were going to flood. Instant backpedaling, seems like a strategy or did they really think they could just pull it off? Or maybe the reports of pushback are being overstated.

Just saw Walz, I tend to agree with him. This is part of the plan, flood and make sure the important stuff leaks through into law.

Kind of funny that Yarvin guy. Back in the early 80's I was long-hair, dope smoking, ski-bum jock. I had a lot of classes involving history, poly sci, and econ. Even back then I had thought a "benign dictatorship" would be the most efficient form of government. Had to cut through all the red tape so the really beneficial policies could be implemented without being neutered or diverted by the compromise/pork barreling processes in Congress. These guys, on face value, seem to want to strip away all services so it's survival of the fittest(richest).
