Has this been announced yet?

No reason not to unless we're trying to sort something out.

Give him a year off. Apply for a deactivation of the list spot.

This is exactly what Rendell was talking about all of those years ago. 18 is too young to take these kids from their communities.

Maybe clubs need to be able to prelist, no questions asked, until these cat Bs turn 21. The AFL could always oversee to satisfy itself there is no abuse, though I am not sure what purpose stockpiling deactivated rookies playing in the NT would serve.

We've already lost the talent of Mosquito to the game. There were a stack of deficiencies in Munkara's game but that's part of the project.

This is a square peg we're not going to fit into a round hole.
It hasn't been announced yet but he didn't play the last couple of weeks of VFL and may not have been available for exit meetings, meaning they haven't officially talked to him about it yet.

Doubt we ever see or hear from him again

We know he has connections with West Adelaide and the Tiwi bombers.

He could step for the entirety of the next year or even the next two or 3 years and still only be 23 and contending for a list spot again if he starts to heat up in the lower leagues.

It’s completely up to him but that’s the advantage of being delisted at 18, he’s still a baby.

Coincidently, I actually spoke to Dan McPherson briefly about this after we picked him up last year. We didn’t take him from his community apparently - he spent last year playing in Adelaide and they seemed to think that he was fairly well adjusted and leas of a risk as a result. Interesting huh?

yeah, there is definitely something fishy going on here…

Doesn't like body contact.

This thread illustrates how misunderstood the Cat B list is.
nah, people get it, just what is the point of recruiting someone so young and so raw from a non- traditional pathway if you are just going to give them 12 months?

Maybe he wasn’t simply cut due to form but due to other reasons that weren’t going to be resolved with another 12 months on the list?

Because you need to explore every pathway for a chance to succeed

agreed, they should explore the pathway that gives him another 12 months
Didn't he make the call? A player can love playing, but still understand they don't have the level of commitment to make it at the elite level. This can be decided after 12 months in the system - no point dragging it out for 2 years just because we can.

Club statement says he wasn't offered another contract, that's a delisting.
