Probably the most disappointing update I received. Nothing too bad by any means but just seems as though Coops is still just expecting it to happen without putting the extra work in. Just don’t know if the penny will drop here.

I would’ve thought that being the last player on the list to receive a contract extension at the end of last year may have been the kick up the bum he needed to take his fitness ect to the next level but nothings really changed or improve dramatically.

Not such a big deal. He just gets delisted if he doesnt make the grade.

In a way he has, but he did a pretty despicable thing involving a girl. I think that's where the allusion to 'bumps' is coming from

I heard he'd returned from the break and his near death career experience swearing he was a new man.

But tbh, he needed to be out with Colby, Will Phill, X and the other guys doing pre-pre season.

Lazarro was given a sustained run at seniors and just not up to it.

I don't think Cooper should have got another deal but the thinking is due to injury he hasn't had thst clear run at it.

either would be a placeholder til next year, would have loved to have kept another pick and got Alger.

I mean positioning. not saying we don't have enough other small forwards, but it was more a choice between Lazzaro or Phillips, knowing we were going to like get O'Sullivan in Draft. I think honestly was right choice, as midfield is just too stacked for options.

I'm all for nepotism, particularly when it benefits me.

But naked? Would rather not get the leg up if you know what I mean.

Lazzaro was too good for VFL and just not quite up to AFL unfortunately.

Cooper actually may be AFL quality in his position if injuries don't hold him back.

You see it at all levels of footy, guys who work incredibly hard and guys who think they are working incredibly hard.

Cooper seems to be the latter

Well that my point, why question why keep one player over other when they aren't relevant to each other
