Liked his debut. The wrist injury really did screw his season because he could have had 5+ games by now.

With his all round skill set I would love to see if we could add some running capacity and some more strings to his bow. Would be handy as an option on the wing as well as at half back.

Half back is probably the deepest position in our side with the amount of guys we could roll through there so if he can be effective up the ground that's a big win.

No reason why he can't as he came as a mid but as usual like most is doing his apprenticeship in defense.

I think it’s pretty good. Broad and Vlaustuin need to be given the leadership roles for backline next season.

Still think we got a really poor return on talent this year. Partly bad luck(Lynch, Gibcus, Tarrant) largely poor management(Not addressing our lack of tall forwards).

Man... what we actually need is Brown and Trezise combined. The skills and poise of Brown and the hardness and eagerness of Trezise.

I fear we may only have two halves of a player...
No player is the full package
Especially when in the 2nd or first year playing first afl level games

Not worried about either at all
Brown already looks like our best ball user in the side

Hmm not sure that's correct. He might have spent some time on a wing at times, but he definetely played a lot of and got drafted based on playing half back/ medium defender.

That being said, if he has the endurance and ball winning ability no reason we couldn't try him on the wing. I just don't see him as a centre square midfielder. Early days but I don't think he necessarily has a strong contested hard edge to his game to be winning ball at stoppages.

would prefer at least 1/2 the mongrel...

We might hate Sicily, but I would love him if he played for us!
100% mate, he is a gun and everyone loves their own mongrels ;)

Those saying he isnt 193cm need to go get a new tape measure.

Lambert is 178cm, Trezise is 188cm Brown is 193cm.
Lets see.

A standard Besser block is 190mm high. Trezise's head is slightly over the half way mark of one block, approximately one 10th of a block, 19mm. That leaves approximately a 76mm gap between the top of Trezise's head to the top of the besser block. If we draw two parallel lines between the two and accounting for the wonky photo I'd say Browns height lines up slightly below the top of the besser brick row. If we subtract that same 19mm to allow for the gap between Browns head and the parallel line plus a fraction for Browns spiky hair I think it's fairly reasonable to assume Tom Brown is around 61mm taller than Trezise. Therefor using this guide, if Trezise is indeed 188cms tall, Tom Brown is 194.1cms tall. That's one guide.

The second one is using Lamberts height of 178cms as a guide. The distance between the orange line to the lower red line equals 114mm (95+19). Then we add the distance between the two red parallel lines of 61mm we get a total distance of 175mm between Brown and Lamberts height, minus, let's say an extra 19mm to allow for Kanes far spikier hair. We end up with a difference of 156mm. Add that on to Kanes height of 178cms and we have a 2nd guide of 193.6cms.

Therefor I can conclude that by taking an average of these two sums, comprehensively and without question - that Tom Browns height is exactly 193.85cms.

Hard to tell but you would imagine when they do their off season updates of the website of player profiles they will update it.

To me he seems like he plays smaller than a 193cm, where as there are others around that height or smaller that play taller if that makes sense.

If he has shot up that much in his two years he'll probably take some time to adjust. Would be huge if we've found a Nick Haynes type, KPD size, intercepting distributor.
