Needs to start kicking goals regularly.

Competes well, I think we have done really well identifying young talls that are good runners and can influence at ground level in Caddy and Jones.

Agreed - genuinely hasn’t kicked a goal in over a week now.
He's kicked goals in 1 game of 3 this year.

It's not outrageous to suggest the next step for him is to kick one a week. The effort and contest is there, it'd be nice to see him get the scoreboard reward.

I wasn't referencing his age, I was pointing out that he hasn't played as many games as you think. Debuted mid-season last year and we're only 3 games in this year. He's surrounded by the support of the least experienced side being selected on the field. People need to be realistic.
If you think about it Goldstein skews the list demographic as well, you have to consider that.

11 goals. 13 games. 19 years old. Main fwd in a bottom team. Huge x factor and elite field kicking. Yeah should be heaps better.

Had 4 shots on goal the last game he played. 3 were in the last when the game was still close.

Is also better suited to a more roaming game than leading goal kicker anyway.

I do agree needs to improve accuracy and hope a bag of 4 or 5 in the next 5-10 games but he is doing fine/ tracking well. In 2 decades I have never been more confident we have drafted a star. Well Hurley was similar.

I agree, but it's a travesty how many of his good leads go unrewarded. With how hard he works, he'd already be a goal a game forward in a better side with a genuine mature forward taking the number 1 defender.

A lot of his team mates are very young and inexperienced. It's not panic stations because they don't honour every lead right now. Goldstein will be 37 before the end of the season and has played over 300 games.

Maybe if we actually hit him up instead of burning himwhen he’s on the lead he’d be able to get a few more shots at goal. Our ball use forward half doesn’t make it easy on him

This guy would rank close to last on the list of players to be concerned about.
Who's concerned?

I started this discussion and I simply pointed out the next stage of his development is to hit the scoreboard.

Zero alarm bells, just a comment that has caused a weird meltdown.

I agree with Bonc. There will be games where he does not kick goals but the step up for him is to finish the year with 25 or so goals and at least average a goal a game over the season.

I'll be concerned if I see more sprayed shots late in close games. There was Adelaide last year, the Brad Scott "What the **** was that" running checkside attempt last week.

If the guy's not clutch then delist, last thing we need is another harry jones.
