We have lost easily our best bowler so you'd want someone you know can do a job (Boland). I wouldn't want an inexperienced bowler coming in being carried by 2 blokes averaging 28 and 31 (last 2 years) and an unfit Marsh.

Plus without and AR we know Boland can bowl long spells so it’s a like for like with Haze in that role

Realistic, everything that's coming out is they are happy for Marsh to play and not bowl anyway. Boland comes in as an easy swap

If paris was called into the team he would go okay ....he is a very good bowler ..rate him more than Abott or Doggett

I actually like Paris. Would love to see him tried alongside Haze. But without Haze, Boland is a safe bet.

No issue with Boland playing this test...but Dogget is 30 Abbot is 32.....paris I rate a lot more than those two

if we were 3-0 up or 3-0 down i would probably agree with you, pick someone who may be the future. but were 1-0 down after being embarrassed in perth. in this situation you dont pick for the future you pick to win and should pick people in form.



whats the difference between playing two left armers and playing two right armers? and we shouldnt pick someone who's currently fit because they havent been fit in the past? using that logic cummins never would have played for australia again after 2011

i forgot about the AUS A game

Watched him bowl in the AUS A game, looked fine to me. Has plenty of overs in the legs, now we just need to see if he can perform

Whilst I’m disappointed with the last result, and I’ll admit we could’ve begun blooding more players sooner, I really don’t understand the level of hatred here.

This Australian team have been pretty successful. For the most part they seem like nice guys, they cop it from the opposition, they don’t complain, they get an unlucky result, they don’t complain. They don’t sledge. They seem like consummate professionals.

Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Nathan Lyon, hell, even Neser and ScoBo would be in most teams.

I just really don’t understand what most of you want - this has been a good team, they’ve done very well. You all support AFL clubs - if the same level of criticism was applied half the coaches/senior players would be out of a job.

They use the A games and Shield to prepare for the future test matches should be earnt not gifted. Don’t know what everyone wants when we are playing a young bat in our top 6, and the young bowlers are injured

Marsh seemed very unlikely to play till they told us he was right to go.

He was playing as a batsman anyway regardless it’s just whether he was bowling. Makes zero difference to the team it’s the same top 6
