So we've had a few sighters now with pink ball tests - what is the prevailing wisdom regarding the toss?

All else considered (ie maybe bowl first if green / overcast), is batting first still considered the best approach?

Also, what about batting order and nightwatchmen - any strategic differences here?

I reckon you’d still bat first, back yourself to be set by the time the dusk conditions get the ball moving.

Have not been watching a lot of test cricket recently. However, did see more than enough of our debacle in Perth.

My 2 cents. Love Marnus, last chance saloon for him. Hope he can find form, seems rather doubtful.

Smith looks cooked as well. Both will most likely play, yet in all likelihood their probable total runs from this test. Could well

be under 50. Huge respect for Boland, should have played a few more tests over the past few years. Now he is 35 already.

Be great to see young McSweeney make a ton in the first innings, would give our veterans a real boost.

Interestingly, in the first 2 tests we played we lost the toss and the oppo (NZ + SA) batted first and lost, however when we won the toss in the 3rd we batted first and won.
