Well he was just delisted hence the out of a job.

Here yes but who knows, he could really enjoy his new life and already have a job lined up.

I just don't see how people have been disrespectful by saying he wasn't up to it which you claimed.

2014 continues to haunt us.

Nielson...now Durdin.

I remember watching the Draft coverage....the North table couldn't wait to press the button on Durdin when our first pick came around.

I would of kept on to him or Daw for another year. Fair enough on the others being delisted.

It was a bad draft all up really. The only non-academy players I reckon we could really be fussed about taken after him would be Touk Miller, Brayden Maynard (29 and 30 so after Nielsen) and Caleb Daniel at 46. The rookie draft was pretty good though - Reilly O'Brien, Jayden Short, Adam Saad, Kane Lambert.

A few guys were really pushing Caleb Daniel at the time, too. I know why we - and almost everyone else - baulked, but the little guy is an elite user and far more durable than you might expect.

You'd think if any club would pick a midget with elite ball use it would have been us.

Well maybe St Kilda but not to play footy.

Outstanding.

While I think if guys like Sam could've benefited from more senior exposure and solid runs of development games in their 1st few years, it is what it is.

Good luck to him. As you see with past players at functions and games, eventually the wounds heal and a lot of these guys feel comfortable with their part of keeping the club going.

at the end of the day he still played at the highest level, not a whole lot of blokes can claim that.

I remember the thinking that the tall backs are now sorted for a decade. Goes to show draft night excitement means jack shit, especially when it comes to North.
