I have to admit, this was the wrong year to start with too many midpricers as most of them turned out badly... but, I'm soldiering on.

RD7 - where most teams would get rid of their midpricers (I'm not counting rookies who are now midpriced) - I've said stuff that and added a few more real midpricers

So, I've added Zurhaar and Tsatas this week!

This is the last week for my midpricers heavy team turn it around, my last hurrah - it's now or never 🤞

So let's have a quick assessment on these midpricers, starting from the back:
  1. Milera - tick, he's pretty solid and likely to be a keeper
  2. McKercher - meh - the jury is still out
  3. Coleman - tick, was great for his starting price
  4. Bruhn - last MP to trade out of M9
  5. Tsatas - hope that the form continues for a while
  6. McAndrew - tick, but everyone got him
  7. Rachele - tick, likely to be a keeper
  8. Draper - a bad first week last week, was sort of tagging Gawn, but hopefully improves from here
  9. Zurhaar - hope that the defense role lasts for a while
Still haven't given up on Pou and Marshall looks pretty good too - but, are they really midpricers?

Definitely been a tough year for mid-priced madness but i admire the commitment to the cause! Rachele & Bruhn probably the standout mid-pricers this year. Milera up there too.

Ive culled almost all of my midpricers outside of my forwardline. I do like Daniels though. I think he is a good enough player to sustain 90+. He doesnt suit my structure and i have other priorities so i wont be going there but i applaud anyone that does!

LOL - you’ve read me like a book. Added already

I added 3 last week, :)

Dale $453k- scored 113 + 15k increase
Ross $436k - 84 + 25k
Zurhaar $ 315k - 61 + 28k

Back up to 12 midpricers, mostly happy with them all. dumped a spud Bice for Nas today, and Sweet was the star of the show with a 141 after I tried to dump him cause Dante was selected again, with 8 outs had to bring him back in at R2 which worked out well this week with McAndrews 65 at R3 and on the bench for the first time this year.

I'm going to be sensible from now on and see how that works out or if I can do it 😧

Callaghan, Grundy, Naicos, Bont, Sheezel will finish my team off over the next 5/6 weeks will be dumping whichever Midpricers annoy me and a maxed out rookie for them-Jaques,Blamires,Jagga,Jerong and just about had enough of Marshall, but he and Jerong will be last to go.
It's been Kenney's Midprice Masterclass Week :) I wanted to pop in and show it's not all doom and gloom with midpricers.

They been so good this week -

Dale- 1% ownership -scored 141
Treacy - 4%, 105 (Ryan .7% - 119-not a midpricer for me but has hovered around 450k while avg 114 over the last 4 weeks and could have been for others)

Worrall - 11%, 89
Sweet - 2%, 116
Berry - 1%, 171

Ross - 2%, 129

Zurhaar - 2%, 69 (thought it was grouse, only 13 points less than Sheeze for a saving of 300k)

McInerney - 10%, 110

Thomas - 2%, 80
Fonti - 5%, 91

Contributions from those hoity toity types - Blakey, Captain Jackson, Trac, Heeney, NAS helped.

But it was the Wonderful midpricers which stole the show and achieved this 2026-05-04_04-06.webp

LOL, I'm still crap overall (90k), but at least I was semi serious and didn't captain Zurhaar this week

Do they play for either GWS, Rich, WC or Stk?
No, I could tell you, but the chorus of you got to be kiddings would overwhelm me

But your a smart fella, I'm sure no one else would get it, I don't have much cash this week,so no Dirty Harry-would like him thou, keeping a few spuds cause I'm nuts limits my options, but feels right and he did look really good on Friday night after 3 weeks back playing.

hayden young?

Ed Richards is the mid-priced name I keep coming back to. Projecting 108 SC this week vs Port and his role is rock solid. The kind of player who quietly posts 110+ and never gets the recognition until his price has already risen.

Taranto is another one at 116 projected vs Adelaide. Richmond's midfield access has been good and he has been one of the more consistent scorers in that bracket.

This is me every year haha

I'm sorry, but a bloke who was 14th in total points last year and who started the year at $600k+, notwithstanding a $70k drop to date, is clearly not a mid-pricer.

I can't even give you Taranto.

They're both over $500k and premos, nowhere near mid-pricers.

On the topic though, Richards is a great buy. Taranto much less so in a shit side and with a high BE. But having a good season.

Excluding uber premo spud Trac of course, my mid-price FWD line was pretty damn good this week, LOL F6 is my lunacy bench E, ( been holding him till he tons or season ends, mission accomplished) was forced to put him on field this week, as I needed a Flex, put McAndrew in R2 to cover Sweets dud score, and didn't he deliver :)

So much fun having the unique players, especially when they go off together

Pretty good with no Grundy, 10 tons, bought in Cripps as kinda sad to say that I know this, he goes big after a new coach, 119, I missed bringing Bont in for him, which worked out this week, but won't long term- Blakey, Dale going big helped, Captained Jacko,-2271
