Depending on how Boyd does in the preseason matches and how Marshall is tracking in the lead-up to rd1, Boyd at flex could be a good option. The extra cash certainly helps.

Archer Reid ($120k RUCK/FWD) is getting a lot of talk in the preseason, he's a chance to replace Darling in the Eagles fwdline. Might be too raw though, only 19 or 20 yo and over 200cm.

I’d be surprised if Reid gets early games

Allen, Waterman and then J Williams are likely the starting 3 talls. Williams can play second ruck to Flynn which sets him apart.

Saw the Phiilipou and Marshall news and immediately cleared my team. Ended up with this pseudo-mid-price-madness side, particularly in the back line. If this is the team I decide to run with, I need that spare 400,000$ for the inevitable injury or the very high chance that Oliver is truly cooked.

I upgraded Short to Clark and Sinclair to Sheezel. The other options limit cash generation. In fact I dropped Parker for Powel-Pepper.

The spread of injuries is only slightly more exaggerated than in my original squad.

Pretty humbling how half of our SC preseason prep work turns out in vain.

They reduced all player prices by 3% to pay for the Flex player

$10M x 3% = $300K

Having played Fantasy Premier League properly this year, fixtures plays a huge role in this.

Does the same thought go in for Supercoach you reckon? Or is it a case of the best players will stil score strong anyways?

Changes:

• SDK back in after the news that he's gonna be given a crack in the ruck.
• A few people have turned me off Lalor, he's gone out for Sheldrick.
• Parker has come in.
• I really want him, but I've taken Will Day out for Dawson. I've convinced myself I need Dawson and Day was the one to make way. Day is next in line if I decide against SDK or Parker.

Notes:

• Starting to warm to Sanders. I don't think he'll get enough mid time to really explode, but he's such a piggy that he can probably find enough ball playing elsewhere.
• Under $20k itb gives me anxiety, ideally want $50k or more.
• I really want Tom Green, but the rd0 and early bye is annoying, plus just don't know how I can fit him in.
• I'll drop SDK/Peatling/Parker if I need more cash for expensive cash cows.

I'm certainly following fixture runs to start my side ....so IMO yes Fixtures are massive

Our sides are so similar, it's spooky ....probably more scary for you

I still need to see more of SDK to know if his Rucking is FT

Didn't realise Day was subbed out 4x last season .....that's a huge red flag

Yes Lalor likely to spend early career down fwd .....not a place to be at RICH

re Tom Green, r2 bye should be ok with full rookies playing (or very close to), I’m liking the r16 bye to follow. Having him play through all the other byes suits me nicely
