Thank God there is F1 again because footy is currently dead to me

Keen for this race, love the Japanese GP, always an eventful race, and such an amazing track.

Currently?

Try 2020-2024 and then come complaining

Oh wait, you were there not that long back

1990’s were so long ago for us both..when we were kings

I think he’s made a few too many misjudgements so far this year to keep the drive unfortunately.
Forced by Alpine, how many rookies get told they have a month to be better than their senior driving teammate or you are out the gate?

They haven't allowed him a chance to settle in May as well have turfed him before race 1

Doohan may have been set up to fail by Alpine, but it is his own driving errors which will be his undoing. It's not Alpine's race strategy or car setup which has caused him to crash at every course this year - that has happened as a result of his own failings as an F1 driver.

The pressure which Alpine have placed on him to perform may well have contributed to his judgement errors which led to him making those driving errors, but the ability to cope with pressure is a fundamental requirement of being an F1 driver. His inability to cope with the pressure is just another reason why he shouldn't be in an F1 seat.

They made a good point on the P3 coverage before, saying did Doohan forget or was he just not told he had to do it?

Villeneuve also went into bat for him, saying you rarely ever turn it off manually and how it normally turns itself off, so in his eyes it was an easy mistake to make.

That being said, unless he does something soon. I think he is on borrowed time unfortunately
