My understanding is that generally speaking any extra muscle mass would only serve to reduce the chance of injury of that muscle. The risk of injury would come from over-training and not allowing the muscle to recover properly, or if an imbalance was created where that muscle is then taking up the stresses that should be handled by other muscle groups.Obviously working hard to be spot on for 2025.
I do worry tough about extra body mass placing extra strain on hamstrings, quads and calfs.
I'm sure the conditioning team will be all over it.
Begs the question - is Sam going to train him up forward and that's why we are seeing the extra muscle.
That would be exciting!
