That’s a positive to pick him, at least for the next few weeks and should put up some NOD type numbers too

If he can knock out those 70-90 scores like you said I’ll 100% take that

Have I ever been wrong?

Don't answer that question.

Keeping in mind Brayshaw plays Richmond this week which could be a ceiling score for him.

Cheers.
FYI, Warnie just released a spreadsheet with time in position for all players int he AFL after Round 4 to their Patreon Group.

Trac 42% time Forward after 4 Rounds. Would therefore need to likely only spend 20% or so FWD in Round 5 to lock in FWD Status.

Other notable splits (excluding the obvious ones):

  • Chad Warner 36.8% FWD :eyes:
  • Docherty 42% FWD
  • Cogs 53% FWD
  • Flanders 51% FWD :eyes: scratch that, is already DPP
  • Colby McKerch 37% FWD
  • Peatling 54% FWD
  • Nic Martin 55% FWD :eyes:
  • DeGoey - 70% FWD

Could be the first MEANINGFUL DPP drop in a long time. By the looks of it Flanders, Nic Martin, Petracca, Cogs, Docherty, Peatling, DeGoat all become available, and maybe Chad Warner if he doesn't play this week.

Keeper league platform has introduced three position players i wonder if we get that with the likes or Daniel and Maric.

Haha

But I’m just keeping all my options open pretty much. Hopefully Lindsay is back too

If Lindsay is in and NOD is out it will make this Taylor based trade period a little easier.

Sam Darcy averaging 98 and getting 128 this week with 11 marks in a loss is insane.

Feel like he’ll easily be a must have next year.

I am interested what everyone would do with this team?
Currently have 107k itb.
Easy first trade is Freijah to Bice (unless someone suggests something else) which then leaves me with 406k.
If NOD is injured I can get him straight up to Brayshaw.
Other option I have toyed around with is Hastie to Maric (I’m bullish on Maric, good role and couldn’t get him last week) which again will leave me with about 100k.
Garcia is also an issue and could just get him up to Taranto.
What is everyone’s thoughts?

Cogs is the cheapest of the lot I think, I think Kingsley has mentioned that they’ve played him outside of CBAs to ease him back in after his injuries, so he could be a play next week.

JDG also being eased back in but just isn’t a Fantasy scorer although that may matter less with that DPP

It’s just good to have some extra options for upgrades now

Understood, I'm just quite pessimistic on Petracca's scoring in Best 22 even as a forward.

Got some cash in the bank. Any ideas on trades?

Not recommendations ....but I've traded Rozee, fearful of a HAW tag ....plus he's dropping coin

Then upgrade Freijah ....his role is ...what is his role, because he looks shite

NOD will decide most people's trades this week so the mid upgrade seems best, and you'd have to like the look of your team with NOD to Bray.

You could strengthen your back 6 and go
Trainor to Bice
Freijah to Stewart (or L.Humphries)
Thus giving you what most of us wanted, a no rookie back 6 out of the early byes (watch the AFL.com highlights of Bice, he looked amazing popping up everywhere, is mature age, so not counting him as a rookie now)

I still reckon the first teams with an elite back 6 pull ahead in the next month +.
Trainor already has a 33 in rd2.
Zeid has injury issues.
I'll try looping both of them as often as I can.

I was keen on Callaghan to Sinclair this week but probably have to settle for NOD up to Cerra/Trac type level.

Some provisonal trade ideas, NOD is benched (can be used as a cash reserve next week if out), and would be fielding Reid and Bice at D5/6, Farrell survives

I’m intrigued by Jaspa’s role change to HB, I noticed primarily during the WC game a couple of weeks ago he was getting involved in a lot of the chains with Zorko, couldn’t watch on Saturday but I’m assuming it was something similar. 85 and 101 and a rain affected 47 shows that he’s not another Hollands

Gotta get Maric in as I think Hall’s time is close to up with his BE going up too.

Nunez you might be able to talk me out of picking him lol
Z.Reid and Bice will more than hold their own imo. I'm running them at 5 and 6 this week.

One I'm interested in is Laird. Was he in there? Surely a lock for Def status.

I definitely like the sound of getting a stronger back 6 and keen on Stewart but believe Trainor still has some money to make….could always use some DPP and upgrade Garcia to a Stewart?

You think it’s best to just skip Maric? The idea of getting rid of Hastie is juicy to me

Have you thought of Garcia to Bice via utility ....then Freijah up

Question is: do you want to add another Rookie on-field ? .....I count Garcia as a rookie, and Steele back this week ?

Yep I have done that and it allows me to get Stewart but if Lindsay isn’t back, means FOS is on field which is don’t love
All down to teams I guess. Not keen on keeping Garcia for much longer and if I do, I want him on my bench

I've got Stewart already, I'm not sold on him though ....ATS have gone Freijah to Ash

I already have Bice though, from last week

Green might be tagged by Windhager though, although it should go to Callaghan maybe?
Windy may even roll between the two, as he did recently I think between Butters and Rozee.

Definitely a win in your books!
Yes, and took Rozee down to Serong (v RICH) and made a profit ...plus 1 less R12 player now, who I think may get the Finn tag this week

I now have both Serong & Brayshaw against RICH

I own cogs in draft, you are right they are easing him in. Will need to see some form first before you go at it and by then he’ll be a straight swap from a rookie

He had a broken jaw from the Finals and shoulder surgery at the same time.

From our resident Demonlander who attends virtually every Melbourne training session, she spoke to Lindsay today who confirmed he needs to get through Thursday's main training session but he's confident of playing on Saturday. Fingers crossed.
