We do love a defender, who becomes a forward because our forward line is shit, but then becomes a defender again because he's a shit forward, but then sometimes goes forward again because our forward line is still shit.
We're very versatile.

I don’t get the big deal about Oscar Allen
Lever has become a part of our problem, too slow in offence play-making, as is Salem. Too safe and too slow... both of them.

To lead, the leaders have to understand when poor negative attitudes are creeping in.
Arrogance can creep into the club, under the moustache of the leaders themselves. Not realising they are a part of the problem themselves.
Our boys got ahead of themselves in a big way, and in so doing, our best players stopped learning and improving.
We lost 3 of our potentially best years from our most senior players. Wasted and all gone by the wayside.
They are all in the twilight of the careers now, and are quickly being overtaken by opposition players who are the new boys in town.
I think I'd prefer to hang my hat on a new defensive interceptor, like Turner.
Lever is sooo one dimensional, and is really bog average 1 on 1...
These ARE the 2 players who are most important for us, right now. the wrong ones for trading out.
Oli and Fritsch are the two best trade options... that will help us on our future quest.
That's interesting as I can see a potential key defender in JvR. He can play at either end imv.
So reckon Trac and Clarry will be looking elsewhere. Add Kozzy to that. A new coach which is extremely likely could intervene with a new outlook. It as it stands Trac and Clarry surely asking for a trade. Contracts are huge and we’re gonna have to absorb some of that.
Let them go. Hawks let Mitchell and Omeara go and look how that turned out.
I reckon a club will happily take on Trac's contract. Clearly an A grade talent. But Oliver's is a noose around our neck. No one is touching that one. We'd have to pay half i reckon to get anyone to look at it. Trac and Koz about the only currency we have right now but could get potentially 3 first rounders between them. Give them to JT to work his magic. He's the only bloke at the club i have any faith in.
I would **** off Oliver or Viney for a pack of chips. Sparrow to.
Viney we are stuck with i reckon, but Oliver is a chance to go elsewhere. Doubt we'd get much more than a 2nd rounder for him with that contract. Maybe an end of 1st round pick if we pay a decent amount of his wage.

I like the idea that Lamb was a cop before joining us. Imagine him doing a hostage negotiation. He'd give the bank robbers the money and a jet while only getting half the hostages back and promising some future hostages back their way.

Thank Gosh we didn't waste draft picks to draft Dan Houston. Like, the idea of wasting picks when we were clearly in a rebuild would've been incredibly irresponsible and potentially set us back 10 years. I'll never understand people that wanted to bring him in. It would've been disastrous.
It was basically our coaches and admin in self-preservation mode. Bringing him in might get us an extra win or 2 this season keeping them in the job that little bit longer.
They don’t care about 5 years away when they don’t expect to be around anymore.
Most decisions being made seem to be of this effect at the moment.
