What has happened to Keegan Petersen, looked a good find a couple of years ago and now cannot get a game

Assuming Nortje is returning from injury seeing as he's been picked in the T20s
I loved the look of him but he seemed to fall in a heap last year or 2. Still no century to his name either. It’s a shame.

Petersen went on the ‘twos’ tour to NZ and did nothing. Has had his chances to build on that outstanding series against India but not taken them.

Bavuma literally only has one failing and we all know what it is and he’s hit a couple of hundreds to just start to rectify that. His tough runs record is as good as anyone going around and given how often he’s had to make them with this flaky line up that’s saying a lot.

There are some flickers of light for SA at the moment. They’re 2 world class batsmen short of being a true heavyweight but in a test landscape where there really aren’t any, that shouldn’t stop them competing with most sides at the moment

Do people feel privileged to be watching Jayasuriya the 2nd fastest bowler to reach 100 wickets in test history, or does no one really give a shit given most of his wickets are in Asia? It's a pretty illustrious group he has joined, so for me he's certainly one to sit back and enjoy

His average is starting to 'balloon' out to almost 30. Bowls a hell of a lot of overs.

Great comeback by Sri Lanka so far this test albeit still plenty of work to do. Big day three ahead.

Haven’t been able to watch more than a couple of balls of this test so far but it’s been a bizarre scorecard from a SA perspective with almost their entire score coming from Bavuma, Rickelton and Verreyne (who seems to have finally come to terms with test cricket). Then SL come out and everyone, to some extent, scores runs

Intriguing test

I almost forgot this test match was on, South Africa currently leading by 77 runs.

The Saffa Gayle/Symonds clone de Zorzi is still there at the crease and proving all the people wrong that said he was a hack.
Easy to forget when there's already been 14 hours of consecutive play already today

It has been a very long day of test cricket and I started drinking early on to deal with the Black Caps collapse with the bat.

Luke Ronchi is our batting coach despite never playing a test, that says it all.

Bavuma with 48* looking every chance to get his fourth half century in a row this series. Maybe he can actually convert this one into a century and take the game away from Sri Lanka

That's a bit harsh on Luke...He played 4 tests...His debut as wicketkeeper being at Headingly with 3 other of his fellow glovemen in the side - Watling, McCullum & Latham
