Amazing how he has been touted by some as one of the best defenders of all time but cannot get involved much unless he can play the loose man or intercepting role without any responsibility for a direct opponent !

Took 6 years for coaches to figure out they should just tag him.

TDK and Cripps I think spent a bit of time on the bench during the second part of the third quarter. Follows a pattern the last few weeks, where TDK and some of our engine rooms players have a bit break at the end of the 3rd.

We came out again and obliterated the opposition early in the last. This is definitely a strategy.

A great even performance...but it comes in handy having the best 6 players of any team in the comp.

Yep definitely tactical how we approach the game and aim to play out 4 quarters and finish strong.

Last 3 weeks we've blown teams away in the 4th...remember how early in Voss' tenure we'd rack up a 40+ lead on teams in the first half only to just hang on or even lose?

The only concern is that the second stringers are getting beaten in the third quarter but only minor.

Remember a couple of years ago Geelong supporters talking up the DeKoning brothers playing together down at the cattery. They were going to get him cheap and take him off our hands.

No one else for Weiters to go to as Cameron is not the right match up. It impacted Cats more anyway as allowed Weiters to control the defensive narrative instead of focusing too much on the Hawkins Dim Sim.

But Geelong never overpay their players I'm sure we have capital, we've re-signed, balanced our books, getting a glut of F&S's in the coming years. We may lose a player like Young, Pitto, Durdin/Owies, and Martin, Marchbank etc. Plus might save money on TDK's next contract to have his brother alongside him.
