You'd hope there's to be a third rounder in it for us.

Can sometimes understand the first pick and the notoriety of being 1st etc and the cash although don't think it's huge, although relative to an 18 yr old. But everyone following should make bris pay full value by bidding... so starts with us. Surely you can always say to FOS, we preferred you but called out Ashcroft for tactical reasons.... should do the same with *.... there is no way they wouldn't match and if they didn't we be happy to take too

This is all based on Travaglia sighting...Why else would he be there? If it was even him :moustache::think::eek:
It was actually Johnny Lawrence at Arden Street.

John Kreese was waiting in the car.

What complete rubbish.

So none of the first four team will place a bid on a kid recognised as possibly the best of the pool on the chance they get him?
It's got nothing to do with getting him.....it's another typical CorruptFL that clubs won't because they'll either have side deals with Brisbane, or they would like to have side deals in the future with Brisbane

My thoughts re the F1 trading in to this year to get something in the first round will also need to include the future 2nd which is why we asked for it from Adelaide if they want to swap to 2. Im hoping this means we end up with 2 picks from that not just the one.

Interesting if that was Toby Travaglia at training as that pick would need to be in the Richmond zone 10/11. If that also included 23 around the talls area of the zone that would be ok but it sounds like it goes against the grain for what Richmond would give up.

It may just be F1 & F2 for 11. Or another club with multiple late f1 picks but he will be gone before any of those.

Wasn't Draper also sighted at training? We can't be picking everyone who toured the facilities.

This makes me so happy as Keith Greig is my favourite player of all time. He had it all, skill, pace, a great football brain and he was incredibly courageous. Watching Keith glide down the wing was a thing of beauty.
Its just a shame that those knees have just given way and he now has touble walking..:sadv1:

When a club had traded out of the first round for picks to match a bid, there is zero chance that they don't match the bid because they have no plan B.

Clubs have nothing to lose and everything to gain from bidding on Ashcroft so can someone explain the point of not?
Well hypothetically, lets say we really want Kayle Gerreyn, but we don't have any third rounders.

Brisbane have a spare third rounder, which could be traded out for a future pick, but only if no one bids on Ashcroft in the first few picks, because that pick would get absorbed to meet the points requirement.

So, in this example if we bid on Ashcroft, we stand to lose Gerreyn.

Jesus I didn't know it was possible to be that bad. Have they never played a video game before?
Rainbow Road is very very hard.

He's always had a strange relationship with the club. Not exactly fractured or dysfunctional, but never smooth sailing.
In the 90s there was definitely an air of unease when his name came up. For the life of me can't recall the supposed issue.

Think there was further shitness when we overlooked his son who went on to play a few games for Richmond iirc.

I’ll ****en spew if we don’t come away from this draft with a kpf

The last KPF we took in the National Draft was Comben at pick 30 in 2019.

That was 5 season ago and Chom has barely broken out to nail a spot. His body certainly took quite some time to get up to the rigours of AFL footy. Even then when he did break out he was playing back.

Sure we have raw as botulism Maley on our list and a 1000 year old in Darling but in terms of developing key forwards there is a gaping hole.

I am not a list manager but I don't quite understand why we have allowed this to happen, especially given the amount of draft and trade capital we have had over the last few years. it very much feels like a hole of our own making. we will need to address it at somepoint.

So you don’t make a team pay fair value for an elite talent in order to trade for a speculative pick in the third round?
