If Ashcroft and Fletcher nominate us, I don’t see mids as a priority. Especially if Levi Ashcroft continues to develop, as a potential 2024 draftee.Wilmot a first round pick, have Ah Chee or prior who we can throw down there as well, carter michael too as well I guess. Not my biggest position of need with how well Kiddy is playing.
Genuine mids and developmental kpps probably more important for us to consider.
All the focus has been on Ashcroft but what about Fletcher, is he a given
If Fletcher was not a F/S would we be still keen to draft him?Yes.
Can't wait for Will to join us next year.![]()
He will be a Lion friends. Let's just worry about how we fit he and Dev into our team next year.
Yes.
If Fletcher was not a F/S would we be still keen to draft him?
Not an easy answer. If Fletcher was not a F/S would we be still keen to draft him?
Agreed, I don’t think our key position depth is as bad as it sometimes seems, it is still our weakest area of depth though. We really don’t have a young genuine key forward that kicks goals consistently, we also don’t really have any key defenders outside of Payne who many think should be best 22 anyways. As others have said a KPP although we have 3 ruck/forwards now not sure how many young talls you can have.
The club might see Henry Smith more a forward/ruck and a KPP type as well.
Ruck wise Lane been moving up nicely if we drop Fort back we have depth.
Yes I agree.. With Buzza we playing 4 Ruck/Forwards as talls so leaves the back line with Payne then Lester playing tall and Arnold helping out the last couple of years basically a permanent top up.Agreed, I don’t think our key position depth is as bad as it sometimes seems, it is still our weakest area of depth though. What draft pick was H.Smith? Don't remember him at all when we drafted him so he must have been late. Usually good forwards come early in the draft, however he could still be a diamond in the rough. In saying that, l don't think he has kicked many goals at all since we drafted him.As others have said a KPP although we have 3 ruck/forwards now not sure how many young talls you can have.

Pick 48 we selected Henry Smith in 2020, with Harry Sharp being selected at Pick 43 for us as well. What draft pick was H.Smith? big guys are such a mix bag some come on and others do not, very hard to tell when they are young. What draft pick was H.Smith? Don't remember him at all when we drafted him so he must have been late. Better than Flagbane.I'll wait and support Flagceston or possibly Flagbart
Better than Flagbane.
Who? Where? If Brandon Leary doesn't get drafted he should do a Callow/Menzie and go to SA. He is pretty talented!
What?Who? Where?
Why?What?
