During a boring day at work a few years ago I thought I'd give it a go. Lasted literally 5 minutes I think before tapping out. Such boring, repetitive, speculative and uninformed dross.
As well as the same ads on repeat every ten minutes for 12hrs a day

Yep I have a love/hate relationship with this time of year when we aren’t playing finals so it’s all in on trading and looking forward to the next season. I tried doing the Trade radio a couple of times but it is such drawn out crap that they try to fill time repeating the same bs stories, and yes then they need to give time to callers who have as much idea as my Thai neighbour on player movement.

I think many of us after the disappointing end to the season want AFC to further improve immediately with trades but unless it is full CIA secret squirrel it’s not looking likely - mind you there are still teams playing this season. Added to this is the much talked about poor draft [other than top 10], NM concessions, GC academy kids etc. we are inventing trades and targets just as the callers to TR will do.

I would have loved a genuine trade in that made us more dangerous and like a kid on Christmas Eve I’m still hoping but it’s looking more likely to be a new backpack rather than a Nintendo Switch.

Last year I found out they had a podcast on Spotify, you can go through and listen to individual segments and not have to listen to a million ads and all the idiots calling in.
They must be the shortest podcasts ever, there would be 10 mins of content per hour max.

most of it is like the graveyard scene finale in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly - 3 guys standing there for minutes on end not saying anything just looking at each other waiting for the other to make the next move
Was 2016 the first year? I remember it being ok then. Pure garbage these days.

Much like in here really… 😜

Every year I get seduced into turning on Trade radio to see if it's improved at all. And every year it seems to get more ad filled, more Vic centric, and more filled with insufferable AFL talking heads.

The good news is last year they started posting the daily short Podcast highlights. Which is the only place I'll even consider checking in this year. At least that way we can skip the 85% nonsense

Does anyone else have concerns on taking a player that's at his second club with 2 years left on his contract and is being shopped around?
We've already got Himmelberg. No need for Chol.

Yep agree

I just hope our team don't lose sight of the 3 critical things to try for this draft and trade period

1. Throw the kitchen sink at trying to get the topline Mid - either by trade or draft
2. If we can't get that mid via trade, trade up for the GC pick 4 if possible and ensure we get 2 x top 10 picks this year
3. Cheap an I mean DRAFT CAPITAL cheap KPD (I like Krueger if the club goes that way as he will be cheap and can fill that role on a short term basis AND if he plays well, gives us a welcome headache)

AFL app says we are showing interest in Chol. Has ever played defence?
I'd be happy enough with that, he has talent

When the coach he previously had joins his new club I can understand wanting to leave as there was a reason you left that coach the first time.

My cousin use to play for North if he say seeked a trade and went to Essendon and found out Brad Scott would be his coach again he 100% would have left.
