Oliver, Darcy, Chol would make us an infinitely better team structurally and talent wise

Add in any of Reid McKercher Curtin Watson we should be winning 7+ games next season
Word is Chol has said it's between The Hawks and Adelaide ..we are out

Look these are all hypotheses which is how the trade weeks are supposed to be . Oliver to North would see us rise up the ladder immediately, he performs each week , baggage and all. A top pick is potentially a star but who knows what will happen really.

Darling is old, goes missing in big games and an anti-vaxxer. More red flags than Oliver in my view. Its a no from me.

We haven't played a final in years.

Jack Darling = The that’s the way it’s gonna be little

If the Oliver thing wasn't happening surely melbourne or oliver would come out today and nix it completely

Very confused by all the innuendo. Are we saying Jyza is on the bags and hence now they can do bags together at North or????
No, the only thing we know is Clarey might be on the trade table, if rumours are correct and he showed up to his exit interview like he did, he wants out and Melbourne would also want him gone.

The suggestion is Jye would be one of the few people able to tell him to pull his head in.

Huh? At the start of last season, LDU while at the peak of his powers was ranked the #1 midfielder in the comp.
And wasn't TT regarded in the same light at the end of the season? Get TT, LDU, Wardlaw on the park at the same time. Throw in Jy, Phillips, Powell, and Sheezel in midfield rotations. Take best available at 2 and 3 in the draft. Stay the course, I really don't want Oliver unless its a BBB type deal. Melbourne also paid fk all for Grundy, and obviously why they're indifferent about moving him on. No way should we be giving up a top 5 draft pick for him. Just look at last years draft we had an 18yo Syd Barker Medallist and paid way less (for now) than what Oliver would want.

It's completely disingenuous from Melbourne. They want a megadeal for a bloke with numerous red flags who they just signed for a million bucks a year til 2030.

If you're not getting him at a discount you don't touch him.

Potentially a decade-ruining move if he's cooked and doesn't live up to his contract, which he definitely could be given a flag contender is 'open to offers' on a top 5 midfielder in the league.

Everybody knows the empire has no clothes, they ain’t exploring a trade to increase their premiership chances here.

Only a fool would believe we'll be taking all these high picks to the draft. The league need us to be better (much better) and soon. There's no doubt in my mind we're looking at some good contracted players in a trade

A lot of fools on here then.... some were talking up to 6 taken in the draft.... I was of the opinion 2 max 3.... looking fwd to seeing how it ends up

Picking up Oliver makes very little sense.

This is coming from someone who would rate him in the top 10 players in the comp.

I'm hesitant to draft more midfielders, each one we draft is just using 1 pick. If we trade for Oliver we're going to have to give up decent draft capital. Our midfield is fine.

We shouldn't be anywhere near this one.
