Not really.

Just says we don't want another pick given we have 3 top 25 picks already, but have no interest in James Harmes or Adam Tomlinson who it appears the Demons are trying to get off their books.

Also says the Swans could re-enter the Doods stakes if they miss out on Ben McKay.
Lets qualify this statement ....what was actually said was:

"ADELAIDE has no interest in trading Shane McAdam for Demons depth players James Harmes or Adam Tomlinson given their hefty salaries."

"Expect the Crows to play hard ball given McAdam is a point-of-difference forward who finished seventh in the club’s best-and-fairest in 2020 and 2022"

haha, remember that time when we dropped ROB because he needed to go back to the SANFL for a solid few weeks to find form again..

and he went back, dominated, and kicked a few goals and marked everything that came near him..

so we bought him straight back into the AFL side the very next week (against Geelong I think?) and he went straight back to spudding it up!..

Ahhh, the memories!.. this club.

His game against cats was actually outstanding, he then went back to spudding it up.

Yes. Mr. He was head of registry when I fixed my busted toe at Modbury Hospital 20 years ago. Has done quite well for himself.
It was incredibly challenging for Liptak to juggle AFL (albeit part time in the 90s) and studying Medicine at Flinders simultaneously.

Was there a little Buzz around Jack Bytel a couple years ago? Strongly built 23 year old midfielder that was just let go by the Saints.

I can't recall why his name is so familiar to me. I don't think i've ever seen him play, but he certainly looks the part physically.

I think we’ve got our share of ‘fringe at best’ mids.

Realistically, do we need our first round pick next year? Like i see it as pointless almost, and would honestly rather trade it for the likes of a cox or ballard. F1 for cox or ballard, doubt freo or the suns turn that down.

We’d be mad to trade it, we’ll only get mid teens and we’re only a couple of injuries away from bottom 6. Better off trading it next year.

Melbourne have the definition of a stacked midfield … Petracca / Viney / Oliver / Gawn.

And yet they have lost the last 4 finals at the MCG (home).

Is everyone certain that midfield is where ALL your capital should be spent?

We’ve spent 2, 5, 6 & 10 on our forward line, how would it be possible for us to spend “ALL” our capital in the midfield?

It’s become more and more common practice for contracted players to be traded

The club has exposed our list and I wouldn’t be surprised if 2-3 contracted players might try and find more opportunities elsewhere

Sloane and Murphy would be where I’d start.

I want our club to engage in getting the players they want, not just the players that are available. Forget all the fringe maybe dudes from other clubs like Chol etc. Let's go steal someone, just like contracted players have been stolen by other clubs. We've got money, we've got picks, we've got players to trade out, including some we may even want to keep. Take a risk, go the unexpected! Buy out a contract. This could be our time, don't pussy foot around!

You’ve hit your targets the past two years. (Reportedly) swung hard at Day and Redman and missed but no shame in that. I like how selective you are about who you are targeting. Nothing much out there this off season and you really don’t want to follow the lead of certain other clubs (who shall not be named… 😆) in chasing anything and anyone just for the sake of it.

A good opportunity to target some cheap depth and make the most of McAdam and Doedee going, but back in your squad and also lay some groundwork for next year also. I rate what Reid does, Sloane contract aside (and I don’t think that is entirely all on him), he is a good operator 👍

It has just occurred to me watching the SANFL team that Madgen could be that KPD depth we need. Is he that far off the pace to be back playing at AFL, even as depth?
