That email reads like something Triggy would have written circa 2013.

Means nothing if Westhoff and Hartlett are not cut. I would also cut Robbie Gray for how undisciplined and selfish he is.

These three are their biggest problem right now. Gray has gone into BnF mode. Racking up cheap stats to get awards. But not doing the team things.

"Dear Members and Supporters,

The world’s best golfer Jack Nicklaus once famously said…

“It takes great courage and skill, to play badly, well.”

In the context of what we as a club are experiencing at the moment, it’s a profound insight.

No athlete or sporting team is immune to difficult times. Losses are part of the package.

But it’s how you handle the tough times that define you as a club, as a team and as individuals.

When things aren’t going to plan, it’s not easy to pull yourself up to see what’s really going on.

Emotions run high, and distractions are everywhere!

But our focus this week has been crystal clear.

Brutal honesty.

Accept responsibility.

Do something about it. Action not words.

I thought Kenny nailed it on Saturday night when he said that ‘never giving in’ doesn’t just apply when you’re coming from behind and winning. In fact, the opposite is true.

The real test for our club is can we stay true to our beliefs when things aren’t going well?

Externally, our commitment is being questioned. Fair enough.

For Port Adelaide, ‘playing badly, well’ is all about sticking together and staying true to our values as a club, come hell or highwater!

Of course it’s about putting your head over the ball when it’s your turn to go.

But it’s also about knowing that no matter how dire the situation looks, our club won’t back off until we find a way to win again.

I’ve said it many times before, and I’ll say it again…the Port Adelaide Football Club is full of people with character, and is supported by an army of members and supporters who care deeply about what happens to this place.

We will not rest until we’ve got it right. And we’ll do it together.

See you at the ‘G.’

When someone asked Greg Chappell if he thought he was out of form after a string of 7 ducks in a row . He replied '' I am in good form I just cant stay in long enough''

They play them twice in the space of 9 games - will be an interesting benchmark.

RICH - MCG
BRIS - AO
CARL - ES
WC - AO
MELB - TP (Darwin)
COLL - MCG
WB - AO
FREO - DS
BYE
RICH - AO

Could sneak through to the re-match at 8 - 5 ... before meeting Hawks, North, GWS, Swans, Melbourne, Adelaide, Gold Coast in a tough run home.
**** they have an easy fixture

It keeps getting better.

Below is an email sent from Keith Thomas to Port members, I believe earlier today (apologies if already posted):

Lol. So they are now aiming for playing badly well? Elite standards! That will get the crowds in, nothing like a team that sets the bar low and struggles to meet it.
If the crows sent me something like this i would be writing back saying that attitude is unacceptable.

I didn't think it was anywhere near as bad as what it's been made out to be. But I understand that I'm in the minority. But what Mick is suggesting is the absolute dumbest thing I've heard in football. If you do it again it'll be worth 4 weeks, so is definitely suspension worthy, but because you're a top bloke, I'll just give you a private verbal warning this time. Thank Christ the AFL hasn't set this muppet up in a position of influence.
When you put it like that it's amazing they haven't:rolleyes:

Sando was a better coach than Hinkley.
Nah I reckon Hinkley had more direction at first he just stuck to it too much. Sando never really had the ship in the right direction to begin with I think. Bit of a rubber band release after Craig's strict structures.

And now Kenny's told off Chad for his crack at the SANFL players

Tearing each other apart:D

http://m.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news...es-assistant-chad-cornes-20160426-gofki4.html

Hinkley's concern reportedly centred upon any appearance of division between the SANFL and AFL players in his push for harmony across the club. Cornes, who said he had never been more frustrated since returning to his old club from an assistant coaching role at Greater Western Sydney, is understood to have accepted his dressing down.

Wow, lots of keeping up appearances going on over there.

Yeah, his reasoning is that most of the people ruling, including the rigged AFL tribunal had them as innocent.

The final & only independant tribunal found them guilty of cheating.

How can someone found guilty of cheating be a best & fairest?

It's a joke that the AFL didn't strip Jobe immediately after the decision. Ridiculous!
It is a joke. Where is this at? When or how are the afl going to make a decision does anyone know?
