Why would they have to beg that he agree to play for them? If he goes into a draft he plays with whoever selects him.

Adelaide trade Lever for Menzel - thats hilarious!! Maybe Kerridge and 28 or 13 if you took us to a nice restaurant. Seriously Lever will be an absolute star - in my mind Kerridge isnt far behind Menzel (has kicked bags of 6 and 4 and 3 in his 25 games (plus 5 games with 20 plus disposals)and Menzel has 1 bag of 4 - never got more than 17 disposals in game! Perhaps a straight swap

Hence the GWS package deal hasn't gone down yet.
Richmond must be frustrating SOS, but, he can probably focus on this more now that the Hendo and Bell deals are dusted.

I think it is almost time for SOS and Yarran's manager, I think that is Connors, to have a heart to heart. Connors seems a decent bloke, I am sure he is also annoyed at Richmond's inability to get this deal done, because it is jerking his client around. Maybe it is time for SOS to talk to Connors, then Connors talks to Yazz and say "mate Richmond are dicking everyone around, you ought to talk to Hawks and other clubs now, or even sit down with Bolts and have a coffee".

Hawks pick 15 would be nice. The word is Carlisle will still likely end up at St.K, so Hawks 15 might be attainable.
If we could get 15 for Yazz that gives us something like this, assuming Cats finish 4th next year and we finish last again :

2015 : 1, 15, 20, 21 + late pick for Jack
2016 : 1, 15, 19, 37

I like SOS' angle of getting as many young players as possible, the GWS package deal is consistent with the Jaksch deal last year which I still think will be good for us as Jaksch showed late in the year he can really present in the air and Boekhorst showed some good sings late also.

Just out of curiosity was looking at the stats for the GWS players we are after in the NEAFL. They aren't actually that bad. Phillips and Lamb were a suprise. Lamb played 16 games for an average of 18 disposals and 43 goals 32 behinds (75 scoring shots). Could be a handy pick up?

Plowman and Tomlinson are good players, or at least will be... This is purely speculation by me, but I reckon they're the only two that SOS really wants , but GWS need to make room, so I reckon the deal from GWS is "take the other three and we'll give you the two you want"

Because then you have a Brisbane and GWS go home factor that all the expansion clubs are experiencing atm. The youth of today are more reliant on the family bonds these days and if they haven't experienced this type of independance of living alone/away from home, then they will ask to come back mid contract.
