Thurlow2Mackie , I see Brady Grey had some good results day 1 of the combine. What type of player is?
He's an interesting one. Small forward with good evasive skills and very hard at the ball. Can take a decent contested mark too for his height. Can play through the midfield as well, good in contested situations in the middle, and has decent breakaway speed. Always looks to take the game on. Biggest deficiency at the moment is his field kicking is not great, but he is good at finding the goals. I reckon he will go late in the draft. Somewhere around 50.

From the few times I saw him (I actually think I asked you about him after seeing him play for the Burnie Dockers) he seemed like a Jamie Elliot sort of type. Not exact, obviously, but that small, evasive forward/mid who is very good overhead. Fair?

Sounds fair to me. I think he could actually play more inside mid, if he develops his game more at an AFL club, than what Elliot could. He is pretty powerful and looks a little taller than the 180cm he is listed at. Has Elliot-like x-factor though.

Pearce, Templeton, and KK all posted impressive time in the 3km time trial. Surprised by Webster's testing not being as good as I thought it would be in the endurance side of things, but the important thing is he has tested pretty well in everything, and extremely well in agility. Pretty wicked combine for the Tassie boys. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

Updated the OP significantly, still need to add some more details to it to finish it off, but will do that later. Think I'll reserve a few more posts next year, cause it is kind of hard to read the OP as it is at the moment. Anyone want to contribute anything to the OP about any of the players?

Should really include Brown and Thorpe in the OP too, but I haven't seen much of them. Seen zero of Brown and only two of Thorpe (including his quietish GF). If anyone has any observations on them it would be appreciated. Otherwise I'll just borrow from KM and Chris25. :D

I like Hislop this year. Reports say he got 32 touches in the TAC cup game, and he's been playing well for Burnie.

Josh McGuinness a good chance in ND. Caleb Hislop, Tim Jones, Matt Hanson, Josh Watts and Matthew Rainbird are other chances.

After Lachie Weller, I think Caleb Hislop is the best chance to make it at AFL level, followed by McGuinness and possibly Tim Jones.
