Without jinxing it hopefully... it feels to me like the quality of the footage from the Talent League has taken a step up this year. Cameramen zooming in so we can pick out the detail in the action around the ball, no longer dozing off and letting the action go off screen. No equipment malfunctions. It's been really good.

Assuming you haven't watched Murray v Pios yet...

Archie Ludowyke #1 New
Archie Ludowyke put in an excellent performance and booted the winning goal in a fun back and forth, end to end contest. His hands were mostly assured, and he burned off his opponent to create space on the lead a number of times. What might have been most impressive were his excellent pressure efforts throughout the game that caused fumbles and turnovers.

Koby Evans #1 New
An exciting NGA prospect for the Eagles fans to check out. While he was already considered a solid draft fancy entering the season, Koby Evans' shift into the midfield looks to already be a winner from what we saw in game one and this could see him bolt up draft boards. He seemed a little nervy and fumbly early in the game, but his physicality and athleticism was a force to be reckoned with as he dominated stoppage racking up 10 clearances. He did his damage resting forward as well, slotting a couple of goals.

Oliver Greeves #4 New
Ollie did some fantastic things in this game and was his team's best player on the day. His combination of size and agility, along with the balance to change direction on a dime allows him to navigate traffic in contested situations and get from inside to outside as proficiently as anyone in this draft pool. He excels at gaining territory for his team, as shown by his 10 inside 50s in this game.

Thanks for that on behalf the WCE board thankyou
Loved 4:35 watching those 4 efforts to push the ball forward

I wouldnt think so, one playing for Sandy and one for the Pioneers - but I guess stranger things have happened
From memory they both wear the same number, kick off their left and have oddly similar running gaits.

Also seem to mirror each other on the stats sheet...

Has anyone seen them in the same room together?

Hunter Wright #1 New
One of the early movers in 2025, Hunter Wright looks like a solid prospect with some exciting traits. Playing in that mid/fwd role that all the cool kids are doing these days, Hunter has the size and nose for the footy to be influential at stoppage, a powerful and accurate left peg, and enough aerial prowess to be a threat in the forward line. In his first two performances this season he's shown a happy knack for making the incisive disposal to create scoring opportunities for his team, including in this game where he had his fingerprints all over a late surge by the Pioneers that secured victory.

Adam Sweid #2 New
Another excellent performance from Sweid this week as he continues to get Essendon supporters excited. His contested work was a feature this week, he might not be the tallest on the park, but he packs some power and physicality in his frame. We also got to see him rotating onto a forward flank, a position he played through the entirety of the 4th quarter with the Cannons well on top.

Rory Wright #1 New
Rory Wright is another to have emerged early in the season to put himself firmly in the draft frame. A nice balance of inside and outside to his game, especially damaging when he can find space on the outside to slice up the opposition with his lazer left boot. If the Dragons are to continue their run and add a fourth straight title, then Rory will be an important part of their run.

If TDK goes from the Blues and we don't try get in Lindsay and/or Wright with the compo to add some left foot lasers into our team I say, just fold the club.

Thought he looked like he had a bit more zip in Rd 1 in some of his runs down the ground but I think he was playing more wing that game. Looks to have pretty good strength through his hips and a good balance of inside and out.

Always find it hard to judge players like Lindsay and him though because realistically going on ball takes away their one wood a bit which is kicking in space. Keen to see him in the champs where he'll probably be on the wing or half back.

I'm not sure if its a good comp, but he reminds me a lot of Caleb Windsor. I think its his body shape and something about the way he moves more so than his game itself.

Dragons 🤝 Remarkable top age improvement from one or two players that puts them in first round contention

Yeah you desperately need the spread outside and just better ball users for Cripps and Walsh to feed

Would also help your inside 50s and would make Curnow and McKays job easier getting the ball threaded in rather then the constant bombing
