Internationals aren't for developing players. Either you're good enough to perform and hold a spot from day dot, or you're not and need to go back to tinkering with your game once you've lost your spot.

It's counter-productive not playing Khawaja at this point because he's shown he's the clear number 1 opener in Australia and really, you want that bar as high as possible for your prospective replacements to climb over to filter out the non-viable options.

Yeah I’m not as worried about Uzzie but an underperforming Warner is a different story. Getting a new bloke in to replace a flat track bully is a far better move. Get a young bloke a nice easy transition to the next level
