What needs to be addressed is the fact that he was drunk and out at 5.30am in the morning is more of a concern right now.

Yep. It's fine to assault innocent people in the street... But only if you're sober and during daylight hours.

FFS... Some Essendon fans on here are truly disgraceful...

What is it about race and Victorians?
Are you all ****ed in the head.

Left that joint 15 years ago (after 30 previous),
best thing i ever did.

Opened my eyes to everything.

Then i see this, and your 'local' news, and then i think,
'Thank Christ'

LOL WUT?
Quality and insightful post, that one tiger. Way to rock the topic.

No need to have a cry about it.

Pathetic = Your whole life dedicated to writing threads attacking the EFC.
Im quite happy as are most hawk and bomber fans to let our teams settle there differences next time we play. Infact I am looking forward to it.

Your relentless dribble is not going to achieve anything. But keep it up.
Your worth a laugh.

I raise points on your club you don't want to answer. You then proceed to call me a troll. I had a read on the EFC board lately and funnily enough each of my points a few Bombers have agreed with me. So either be an adult and discuss them or stop with the childish comments. As the joke is really on you and your club.

People looking for mud are disgraceful.

Read the post properly and don't quote a sentence that suits your argument.

It's not alright to assault people, but the injuries were minor and there have been no charges laid as yet. Do we know the truth yet? NO, so let's wait until we do before we judge the young man. Let rip on him if it comes out that he has done wrong.

What is important and why some clubs have curfews, is it is a well-known fact that there is more trouble to be had after around 2am in the morning. If AFL players are out past this time in a public place with a gut full of alcohol, there is a good chance that trouble will come. Even if the AFL player is not drinking, there are more than enough idiots around who want to make a name for themselves. Just ask Buddy....

Who gives a shit, everyone these days are beating up Indians, not as if it's a one off case

Another idiotic comment.

Interesting to note in that latest story though, the police asked the driver not to talk to the media about the altercation, yet he has. Makes me just a little suspicious now about what may have occured, will wait to see what happens in the coming days.

this sounds like an extremely disgraceful act
punched, kicked and deturbaned the poor old taxi driver is now very depressed and wont be able to work for who knows how long

Did you actually read that article? All he said was his turban was taken off his head, OH by the way, where did it say he was old? All the Indian taxi drivers I have seen were young students.

You also neglected the fact the police asked him not to talk to the media about the incident, sounds very suss now.

how many 'years of torment' will he want to be compensated for?

typical.

Which is why Onkar Singh Bains gave a five page statement.

Bomber cab row: driver depressed

It is alleged the cab driver followed Hurley from the car and asked for his fare, an argument broke out and Hurley kicked him in the groin and punched him. The taxi driver had minor injuries.
``I have given a five page statement to the police,'' he said. ``I am not driving today. I am feeling depressed.''
Bomber cab row: driver depressed

Good to see some Essendon supporters are consistent and applying some spin to Hurley's assault like they did with NLM.

It was self defence.

The word is actually spelled "alledged".

If you go back to the earlier posts, I said if Hurley is guilty, then he should be punished by the law & the EFC. But the actions of the taxi driver since then has made me think there is more to it.

What part of the police telling him not to talk to the media about the incident didn't he understand?
