...from tonight.
Not many players drafted after Logan are going better from the 2020 draft.
Rowbottom was also a mid 20's pick in 2018.
TomMcCartin early 30's.
These were two picks in the 20's not early firsts, and our recruiters and staff have done a brilliant job developing a list that can...
...names such as Tim Kelly, Noah Balter, Tom De Koning, Bailey Fritsch, James Worpel, Dylan Moore, Brent Daniel's, Sam Taylor, Liam Ryan, TomMcCartin, Charlie Ballard, Lloyd Meek and Tristian Xerri.
Liam Baker and Brody Mihocek later on the rookie draft as well.
Will be interesting to see how...
We have serious KPD depth problems, especially when you consider that like his brother TomMcCartin has concussion issues too and it would not surprise me if one day he gets a concussion and never plays again, meaning we go down from 1 legimiate KPD to none.
Bowman looks like another who would be handy…
HSun … mentions a couple that Cal mentions ..so does that make those name more likely….?
Alex Dodson
Sam Davidson
Charlie Nicholls
Lachie Jaques

...of current Swans for inspiration. He enjoys the way Nick Blakey takes the game on with his leg speed and kicking, but is also a fan of TomMcCartin's ability to lock down on opponents. The Sydney supporter currently plays more like the former than the latter, so can continue to work on his...
...a year or two ago when Tom spend a month or two away from the best 22 due to a concussion of his own I am very aware that Tom's career could come to a crashing holt in any game. We can't rely on having TomMcCartin in the team for the next 7 or 8 years.
Again though, I hope I am wrong.
Exactly
Best case Cochran is a Blicavs type or Nik Cox type
I have said that for several months now
If we can teach him
He
Exactly
I have thought about him in this context also - obviously best case
If we can teach him the game
He could be a great weapon and run riot
His size speed...
I think the knockers will love this draft (in five years time of course).
Its looking possible that for every pick taken by every club, there will be a fair chance a later pick will turn out to be a better player.
...but if Cochran has the same desire to learn and develop like Blicavs did we could certainly end up with a similar type of prospect. TomMcCartin still has his deficiencies and is prone to a bath on the odd occasion but he usually performs to his strengths and it serves the team quite well so...

After them Cahrlie Ballard, Worpol, Jack Payne, Gryan Miers, Zerk-Thatcher, Dylan Moore, Lloyd Meek, Xerri, Switkowski, and Guelfi.

Great post Calli, particularly on leadership. Earlier in the season Horse mentioned leadership a few times but to me it seemed noticeably absent during our slump and of course in the GF. I think your comments on individual players are spot on. At times McLean has shown some but was quieter this...
I don't think that personnel is the biggest issue. I think we have the cattle (more or less) - players and coaches.
In terms of the playing group, for people who are crying out for a stronger presence at the contest (I'm one of them), there are a lot of good contested players outside the GF...

In raw numbers, it is an interesting exercise, and every year, you could adopt different strategies, but perhaps looking at who else was available after pick 12 and 14 might show different outcomes
Acres, Impey, Merrett, Barrass, Aliir, Laird
Lever, Steele, Miller, Maynard, Dale, Langdon...
Found this to be really interesting reading - how much un-luck have we had when we’ve had high picks?
How bad (in comparison) were:
2016 where we had 1st for McGrath
2020 covid draft where we had 3x late top 10 picks
Not sure I agree on there being 4 worse than the 2020 Covid draft…...
Oh dear Dan. How did Jack Ross get into the 2017 draft crop? And how is delisted Ainsworth above players who get a regular game? What the hell is Sam Reid doing in there? Who is Brendon Starcevich? So much to upack here Dan....

Not so sure about the 3 ND picks. Maybe Cochran slips through to the rookie draft. I think he's still worth taking. I get a bit lost with how many spots we have available but robbieando shows 3 senior and 3 cat A, no cat B. If we delisted a senior and rerookied him we would have 4 and 2, enough...
When KB went to watch the Whitlock's than when he discovered LK.
McCartin will probably go before we can get him according to his manager.
Henderson he only watched thanks to Paul Amy on the way into the VFL GF
I reckon , 2 talls and then a LK type and a McCartin/Henderson smokey
