Good point. Doesn't change the fact that we desperately need more development options to be incubated for two years before Nankervis falls off a cliff.
All the other rucks on our list are diabolical. Ryan will not make it. Sims too early to call yet undersized for a true ruck. People forget...
I think this highlights is there a need at all to draft a ruckman or is it better to trade/FA to get one.
In saying that CDT would come in and transform our midfield. He's giving me TDK vibes.
...that think every young player is gonna be a champion based on nothing, they are the ones that salivate over players like lochie jones, toddmarshall, ollie lord etc, true there is a potential but there also a whole lot of fluff that people cant seem to seperate, and then they wonder why they...
You have listed 10 that need the chop and that’s about what we should be doing.
Anyone who thinks a change of coach will make a difference is dreaming.
The list should have been turned over a long time ago instead of waiting till Tassie is about to come in.
Shocking list management.
Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - Saints want a first & second round pick and as we have traded out for magic beans we would have to trade away Bergman and Lord.
...out the contract and see what happens
Travis Boak - will go with Hinkley and hopefully the last of the loser aesthetic of the club
ToddMarshall - massive contract and concussion problems, dunno what we can do
Ryan Burton - struggles to defend, slowing up and unaccountable
Dylan Williams -...

ToddMarshall: Concussions and injuries has stagnated his development. Three years worth including this year of progress halted. At the end of '22, Todd kicked 45 goals and looked set to become one of the premium tall forwards with his sharpshooting and footy IQ. Concussion and hip...
Best example I can recall is Hawthorn 2012 picking up Brian Lake (ne Brian Harris) from the Dogs to play fullback and steered the hawks to a 3 peat in 2013 14 and 15. he was the missing piece of the puzzle for them.
How good was it that we traded Esava the same post-season as we brought in our next KPD with COS?
It's not even an exaggeration to say COS is already at a similar level, if not playing better - and he's not even 20.
I don't think their kpds were the issue last night at all though. Their forward line was putrid when it went in and their mids got pressured by a faster side.
I don't think their game style is one that allows them to lose contested possession and still win and they got done 92 to 121.
And both those guys are going to miss extended periods this season, if not the whole season due to injury:
Marshall with a ruptured Achilles tendon in January
Lukosius fractured his kneecap during their win last week
So now they're going even deeper into their reserves to cover them
...been in their DNA and they went out and brought in Barrass while stocking up on young key defenders at the draft.
I reckon the moment ToddMarshall suffered another concussion was the end of their chances. While never a star, he was the point of difference in their forward line. Averaging 5...
...3 rounds in no less
-Jack Luko (195cm) will miss with a fractured knee injury until at the very best July, and that's if we're lucky.
-ToddMarshall (198cm) is in a similar timeframe with an achilles and also still concussion prone even if he does come back
-Ollie Lord (197cm) couldn't get...
Its easy to get into the second round.
It's talent evaluation. You have to see the tall guys and hope they play in the forward line but they just might have attributes to play behind the ball too.
I think traded our 2nd rounder for Jack Watts. We could have McCartin, Petty, Ballard, Zerk...
I mean sure we could've kept our first round pick instead of spending it in 2016 to grab ToddMarshall and Sam Powell-Pepper.
Then we could've made a massive reach with selecting Noah Balta (pick 25) or Sam Taylor (pick 28) at pick 12.
If we kept our second round pick at 31 we could've had...
...Amidst the general renos, my favourite bit was when they drafted in Tom Rockliff (polystyrene shoulder) and Xav Duursma (hubba-bubba hammies) to do some weeding and associated physical yardwork to help get the place auction-ready.
I assume ToddMarshall was inside hammering in nails with his...
...while small forward Jed McEntee missed the SANFL trial with some minor tightness in his hamstring.
Zak Butters, Brandon Zerk-Thatcher, ToddMarshall and Tom Anastasopoulos are all making positive progress in their rehabilitation.
