  1. Go the Guts

    Umpire Integrity and Game Outcomes.

Adelaide had 2 games this season in which a single umpiring decision cost us the game. It's not very rare, it happens more often than many might realise.

Maynard cleared by tribunal for Brayshaw collision

Never in doubt........ Not a chance in hell the VFL would allow a Collingwood player to be suspended, even if his action was avoidable and he has ended this bloke's season and career. Never change VFL.

Maynard cleared by tribunal for Brayshaw collision

You have absolutely no idea what his intent was. That may have been part of his intent. But part of his intent may have also been to think " **** you I'm gonna make this hurt " on the way down. I strongly suspect this is what ran through his mind. It is Maynard after all.
  4. Go the Guts

Maynard cleared by tribunal for Brayshaw collision

Um........no. You may need to open your eyes. This is 2023. Players have been banned this year in regular games for far less damaging outcomes than what happened to Brayshaw. He is going to the tribunal because he took action that was avoidable, and resulted in the ending of a player's season...
  5. Go the Guts

Maynard cleared by tribunal for Brayshaw collision

Rubbish. The precedents for this kind of thing have already been set many times before. He's gone. As he should be. The AFL needs to grow some balls and stop with this "Cotchin can't miss the Grannie" type of MRO finals crap - the same rules must apply regardless of what games are on the end...
  6. Go the Guts

Maynard cleared by tribunal for Brayshaw collision

Imagine if Maynard put his hands out to reduce or even negate the majority of impact, instead of choosing to slam into his face with his shoulder. Imagine that?!
  7. Go the Guts

Maynard cleared by tribunal for Brayshaw collision

There's over a hundred pages in this thread, and on most of them you will read very clear reasons on why everything you have written is wrong, and has only been written by you as you are a supporter of his club.
  8. Go the Guts

Maynard cleared by tribunal for Brayshaw collision

2 weeks 10 years ago = more weeks now. (ie 3 to 4) AFL is supposedly FAR heavier on penalties around head contact now.
  9. Go the Guts

Maynard cleared by tribunal for Brayshaw collision

EXACTLY. He did NOT have to shoulder his face. He just had to put his hands out to lessen the impact, but he chose his action. He's 100% bloody guilty, and I for one hope he gets the full force of the tribunal. He has ended Brayshaw's season, and going on reports, probably his career. Kane...
  10. Go the Guts

You'll never guess what the 2021 free kick differential chart looks like

Pretty clear directive from the AFL. Too many flags for the same club is very bad for their agenda.

    Is Hartigan in trouble?

Champion. There's no 'fact' in what you stated. It is, in fact, just whingeing, speculative gibberish. That's all.
  12. Go the Guts

    Is Hartigan in trouble?

Oh you Geelong whingers are unbelievable! MASSIVE difference between this and what Dangerfield did to Kelly, for instance. He deserved every one of those 3 weeks and probably another one. It had nothing to do with who he plays for. FFS get over yourselves.
  13. Go the Guts

Every game should be umpired like the Grand Final

    Absolutely spot on.
  14. Go the Guts

    Lewis On Lycett

Lewis must be a REALLY good bloke, maybe as good as Hodge! Geez I'd love to get to know that Hawthorn team personally, they're all obviously such good blokes!
  15. Go the Guts

    Neutral Umpires

This video is of some of the BS umpiring decisions in the 2012 prelim, where it was widely agreed that Adelaide was bent over and reamed by these umpires. I was there and could not believe the umpiring. Check it out and make your own assessment. So at least one of these umpires is a confirmed...
  16. Go the Guts

West Coast v Hawthorn - worst finals umpiring in a very long time

Here here. The 2012 prelim has gone down as probably the most one sided (read:rigged) final in recent memory. It rips your heart out to get so close and have it taken from you by some small dick big ego little man. Hawthorn are due for a bad run with umpires.
  17. Go the Guts

Worst HTB decision in finals history against Port?

Lol. I actually did laugh out loud.
  18. Go the Guts

Worst HTB decision in finals history against Port?

The decision against Gibson that gifted Monfries a goal 10 m out was just as bad a decision. At least the OP one didn't result in a direct goal. Shit thread.
  19. Go the Guts

    Richard Douglas suspension

That was my initial reaction too when I saw it.
  20. Go the Guts

Umpiring today was pathetic and had a big say in the Hawks win.

Thanks for that. Just proves the other hawks supporters posting here are just parochial clowns and that regardless of their arrogant rubbish, the whole footy community will always look on this game as one that was gifted to Hawthorn on a platter, whilst it was stolen from Adelaides deserving grasp.
  21. Go the Guts

Chris Judd - How many weeks?

    Judd got 4 weeks
  22. Go the Guts

The awkward moment when Waite gets a free for kicking Otten in the testicles.

Actually it should have been an Otten free, completely incorrect impiring call as most have said, looking forward to Gieschen's analysis of that one. I think we've already established that even 2/3 of the commentators said it wasn't a free, so yeah, nah. The consensus on here by a mile from...
