Yes, WHE is available. Like he was 2 weeks ago. Just overlooked because there is currently no spot for him.
Markov is available too. He'll play VFL. Again, no spot for him.
But in what role? Oleg doesn't get much of the ball and isn't composed with it when he does - I doubt we'll set up for him to receive a lot of ball as a key rebounder. Bruzzy is the other one who can play as a rebounder. i think there's multiple options in the team and we'd be looking to...
Normally I’d view Markov that way as well but atm there’s no real depth in the Jaicos, Houston role.
I don’t view Parker the same way either. He’s shown more promise as a Maynard IQ replace then a rebounder IMO.
Perryman same thing. I’d move him back to fill IQ or Maynard’s role like he did...
I think I view Markov differently to you. To me he's primarily a defender and not primarily a rebounder, despite the occasional awesome run. I view him as back up for Bruzzy and IQ - not Houston and Daicos, I think a couple of Ryan, TJ and WHE could all be ahead of him for defender back up as...
Markov the only one out of those that can be comparable. Others were high-quality players who didn't get the applause they deserved
I think if we are serious about contending, Byrnes should be outside the best 23 but still in our best 25-30 imo. Good depth player that can come in when required...
I reckon the expansion teams struggled for a long time because their talent to workmen was out of whack. Good sides need a decent layer of solid workhorse types. For all of your Fyfes you need a few Matt DeBoers.
Probably a very comparable player to recent premiership players
Olegmarkov
Ed Langdon
Brandon Ellis, maybe Kane lambert too.
It’s a pipe dream to think we can build a team with 23 A grade players.

I'd bring in Harrison if he's fit, but that doesn't fix their defensive problems of having too many attacking types at HB, even Houston is similar, although he's an A grader
Maybe Perryman needs go back

That's just terrible. There's legit about 3...
Markov was one of our best in practice match versus Tigers. Won a lot of the ball and provided a lot of run and rebound. I’ll be very surprised if he doesn’t play on Sunday, to rotate with likes of Josh, Crispy and IQ when they need a rest on the bench.

I do think we need to be getting games into youngsters when there's a decision to be made amongst our current fringe players.
I wouldn't pick Markov in the 22 as the place sitter for Houston. Full game for Parker, Allan or Long
I'd play either Parker or Sidey at half back as better like for...
...McCreery, Dan McStay, Lachie Schultz
FF: Bobby Hill, Brody Mihocek, Tim Membrey
FOLL: Darcy Cameron, Steele Sidebottom, Nick Daicos
INT: OlegMarkov, Scott Pendlebury, Will Hoskin-Elliott, Jamie Elliott, Ed Allan
Notable absentees: Dan Houston (susp), Jordan De Goey (knee), Tom Mitchell...
This discussion wasn’t on depth though. It was about promising youngsters. You’re shifting the goal post here.
OlegMarkov - 86
Tom Mitchell - 203
Mason Cox - 129
Billy Frampton - 58
Ash Johnson - 27
And if you run into the scenario where another club wants Berry and Peatling goes elsewhere? That's just shooting yourself in the foot by giving away a midfielder you can use in 2025 for no return. Equally, every team has trash players, it's a consequence of the salary cap, however there are...
...in the 2024 trade period (by both Crows and Pies sources), and you’re talking about a club that jumped on the likes of Billy Frampton and OlegMarkov when they became available (and inexplicably still has Ash Johnson on their list), so it’s not like “well-run” clubs don’t have trash on their...
