And Clark (Mister September) Keating too short. Matty Clarke easily the most under rated in the Bears days. Mitch Clark biggest waste of talent.
As a pure ruckman, forgetting everything else, but Matty Clarke was by far the best in my view.

Mitch Clark should've been so much better than what he was. He did have that one exceptional year, somewhere in 09-11 where he was unstoppable. I was asked over Xmas period when talking about him who he was like b/c they didn't know much about him and I sort of said a better version of Rory Lobb, albeit, Clark rucked more. But yep, another in a long line of players who rested on their talent w/o putting in the really hard work to going to the next level, like Jared Brennan.

Re your next post; Rhan Hooper is also up there in waster talents. Was electric and had all the tricks and I dare say discipline and lack of work ethic were probably his inhibitors, but by god did he have the talent in the Cyril Rioli mould (not saying as good, but not too dissimilar player that should have done more.

Damian Cupido in the late 90's was another who should have been an out and out champion of the game but believed his own hype, didnt work hard enough and few even remeber him.

To answer my own question.

(Q1) - Best: After much thought i have leant towards Joe Daniher over Harris Andrews who most will pick.
Playing key forward is a harder task than key back in my opinion. That gave Joe the edge for me. Both super players.
(Q1) - Most underrated: Easy pick for me on that. Eric Hipwood. Much maligned player in the media and also with the Lions fans at times.

(Q2) - Best: Much harder this one. I will settle on Zorko even though no Brownlow's to his name. However, goal kicking midfielders are hard to find. Played more midfield time than Aker. Also played in a long period when Lions were crap.
(Q2) - Most underrated: Going Luke Power with this one even though he is a contender for the best. He was surrounded by stars but was super consistent. Just out of the limelight for a long time.

I am sure posters will have different views but there are some great players in the tall and the short of Brisbane Lions past and present.

Some other interesting tidbits regarding our venues:
On this front, the Lions (along with Cricket) continue to proactively engage with the State Government regardingoptions for a tier 1 oval stadium that meets the needs of our growing city for decades to come.
The club is now focussed on the development of the 22B Community Hub, which will deliver more sporting facilities, communityspaces and a childcare centre to service the local community. The Lions have a 50-year site lease in place and will partner withIpswich City Council to deliver this much needed community asset
