In a way I'd like to see him selected for a Showdown, and when he speaks to the media in the lead-up, and is asked about his thoughts on the opposition, he says,

I never understood the level of hate for chaplin. He used to wave his arms around...he became a coach. He said Richmond had more unity and professionalism as a playing group than port..it eventually proved to be correct. He left as a free agent and port got whatever compensation. He won a flag coaching at Melbourne. Meh. If a player left as a free agent now and said port were somewhat unprofessional and not united then the player would be a bit of a hero. Its not like he played in some golden period of port.
...I really don't have any issue with ratkins. He shouldn't be on an afl list but port knew that. It seems he helped to get jack whitlock to the club through a salary cap dump.

Saw The Rat at Goucho's on Saturday night. He was with Zerk-Thatcher and a couple of younger players I didn't recognise.
He'd be finding it hard to get social interaction with our senior players I'd imagine.

I doubt it, despite the on field rivalry, port and crows players seem pretty matey off the field these days.
We are a long way from the ramsgate days.
