* Thread monitored actively. User who drag it down will be removed

Specifically: reference to TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) and its counterpart 'Trumpanzee' or anything similar will no longer be allowed.

Personal attacks are also to be kept to a minimum.

Just a reminder, even if it hasn't come up for a few pages and y'all should know this stuff by now:

This thread is not about Covid, lockdowns, or vaccines. It is about Donald Trump. While Trump was in office during the pandemic and his response to Covid is relevant, there are pertinent threads for you to post your opinions on those things in.

It might also do with reminding a few that when you post on the SRP, you are responsible for backing up/verifying your claims to fact. What this means is that you will be asked time to time to support your claims with evidence, to ensure that this forum is as free of misinfomation as we can make it.

Do not post conspiracy theories on this forum. We have an entire other forum for that.

Thanks all.

Congrats Royces Hart on the new thread title!

MAGA folk offering words of comfort regarding worldwide stock market plunges. It's only paper loss, unless of course you're an investor who's realised the loss. Even funnier is them raving about the teachings of Warren Buffet.

Trump decides he needs an economic advisor, asks his son in law to find one. Son in law looks at book covers on amazon and finds one he likes by a fraud called Navarro. Navarro in his book claims tariffs are great, citing an economic expert Ron Vera, who does not exist, its just an anagram of Navarro.

The scary thing is there is still 30% who back him. I guess its same types who still backed Hitler as they dug the bodies from the burned out ruins of Dresden.

Yep. Just finished a good long read at the link, but the summary in the screenshots tells you everything you need to know. The people in charge are stupid.

The grocery prices and Iphone prices this year are gonna be so funny

FMD
What a perfect metaphor for this Trump 2.0 clown show......

I thought it was satire... Surely has to be lol
The fact that even after I made mention that it was satire. People on here have continued to fall for it.

A simple look at the profile tells people this.

We've become so lazy we take shit at face value because there are dumb people out there. Screenshot_20250406_013118_X.jpg

Good watch.

I feel really sorry for those that recently retired or are about to retire that can't wait for their super to recover...I honestly do feel sorry for them, but it is hard with some as the only people I know in that situation personally (like my father in law) are massive ****ing Trumpers despite living in Australia their whole life.
When people retire they dont take all their money out of super. Just living expenses. There super revenue continues to grow (or fall) after they retire until they die (or use it all up). Therefore those about to retire lose no less or more then the rest of us with super from the disaster of the last couple of days.

Why have Americans working in high-skilled tech jobs when they could taking some Vietnamese guy's work making SHOES instead?
Exactly. Manufacturing jobs are awful jobs. Either incredibly boring or/and physically demanding.

They also pay terribly.

Americas unemployment rates are also incredibly low. They dont have a large unemployed group who wants manufacturing jobs. Maybe in the 70s and 80s these policies would of helped people find work/keep them from losing jobs. But not now.

But do you know who wants manufacturing jobs? Immigrants from developing economies. The very people he is trying to deport.

Chairman Mao led CCP vibes.

Said it before he won his 1st term but Trump reminds me too much of Mao, not in his ideology but his methods. Both had a gift at hoodwinking the stupidest people in the populace into believing they are some messiah god, they'd create a cult around themselves and the stupids will do literally anything they say, to the point where they'd be starving and still worship dear leader

Also shares the narcissistic trait with Mao where both of them think they are the smartest person in the room while being incredibly ****ing dumb, with the most disastrous policy ideas ever

They have less ability to recover from the disaster (those still working will be buying in at the lower prices and then gain more when there is eventual rebound while those now living off super balances will decrease due to outgoing payments- life expenses- and no new incoming)

Wish I knew how to build apps - build a 'US Boycott' app where you scan barcode to see if product is American owned, and if so show non-American alternatives.
There was the app that listed brands by how "woke" they are. Not sure if it's still going.

A failure to zealously advocate sees you out the door.

Mr. Reuveni, unlike other career prosecutors targeted by Mr. Blanche and his deputy, Emil Bove, previously earned praise for executing elements of Mr. Trump’s immigration agenda.

In a March 21 email announcing Mr. Reuveni’s promotion to acting deputy director of the department’s Office of Immigration Litigation, his boss, Drew C. Ensign, lauded him for working on cases filed against sanctuary cities accused of defying federal immigration laws, and for generally helping to expand the department’s litigation activities.

Not all of us approaching retirement are right wing turds.

Im just over 5-years away from being able to retire. Luckily, I have two super funds: my private sector which was smashed, but also a small DB Military super fund. Luckily for me, Im able to continue topping up the DB super with reserve work and can take anytime after Sep. I'll just keep doing SS contributions & compulsory after-tax 5% contributions, and getting the benefit of dollar cost averaging.

This is why Trump is stupid. He HAD the best advice on tariffs with reasonable responses - but because he's a narcissistic sociopath who has WIN everything - the turned around and found something that gave him impressive numbers to show everyone how he WINS against everyone.

The fact this man can command nuclear weapons is beyond terrifying. If he'd been in charge during the Cuban missile crisis we'd all be dust by now.
