Personal attacks are also to be kept to a minimum.

Just a reminder, even if it hasn't come up for a few pages and y'all should know this stuff by now:

This thread is not about Covid, lockdowns, or vaccines. It is about Donald Trump. While Trump was in office during the pandemic and his response to Covid is relevant, there are pertinent threads for you to post your opinions on those things in.

It might also do with reminding a few that when you post on the SRP, you are responsible for backing up/verifying your claims to fact. What this means is that you will be asked time to time to support your claims with evidence, to ensure that this forum is as free of misinfomation as we can make it.

Do not post conspiracy theories on this forum. We have an entire other forum for that.

Thanks all.

Congrats Royces Hart on the new thread title!

None. I looked for that too. Supposedly this is due to no trade taking place between the two countries due to sanctions, but my question was, given how hard Russia is lobbying for sanctions to be lifted, what happens when sanctions inevitably are lifted? Does Trump then tariff Russia once trade starts?

Yeah and pigs will fly. Gonna be very hard to argue that Trump isn't a Russian asset, when the only country he's not tariffing in the world, is the one he's accused of selling out his country to.

But try explaining that to the sea cucumbers over in MAGA world.

They tariffed Israel, I’d be surprised if there’s significant geopolitical strategy here.

North Korea and Cuba got left off too because of the sanctions too - this attack’s a dead end.

You're actually missing my point: I agree with what you're saying, as things currently stand.

Of course if there's no trade, there's no point in tariffs. Won't it be awfully convenient though, if as has been suggested, Trump eventually drops the sanctions against Russia, embraces trade with them, and still doesn't tariff them?

Seems like an easy way to exempt them, without actually being accused of being in their pocket.

So no, this attack isn't a dead end, lol. At worst, it's a detour until we arrive at what he actually does concerning Russia, in the coming months.

Like North Korea, tariffs on countries so heavily sanctioned is pointless - they don’t trade (admittedly neither does Heard & McDonald so I might be ascribing more thought than they deserve).
Russia still exports 3.5 billion annually to the US.

More than many countries on that list like Heard & McDonald as you mentioned, Brunei, etc yet they were hit with the minimum 10%.

Even heavily sanctioned Iran and Syria were hit with tariffs so all that stuff about not hitting Russia because they are already heavily sanctioned is hypocritical, but to be expected from Russian agent Krasnov.
