Against the Dogs Charlie lead in front of his opponents, we kicked it over his head.
Charlie trailed his opponents, we kicked it short.
We zig when we should zag.
Suggestion for Charlie (if you’re reading this)….can you point to where you would like the ball kicked?
At least us fans would then know that our players don’t possess the necessary skills, rather than being just stupid….thanks

Good exponents of the F50 entry kick put in a spot such that the forward can run onto it without any pointing. Our problem is Charlie could draw them a map of where he wants it and they would kick to the next suburb. Diabolical.
I saw Doc on the news at a presser for the Peter Mac Cup, he was talking about our ball use being bad to date, he said it in a way that suggested could be fixed. I'm not as confident as Doc.

He did actually run back to the goal square (around the 50m mark) which took Jones in that direction whilst pointing to the ball carrier (Motlop?, or Williams?) to drop it in front of him so he could double back for the easy mark. = GOAL!!!

Unfortunately Doc is talking from 1st hand experience, one of the poorest so far but not on his Pat Malone.

We can’t be this bad all the time…..can we…?

Let's not stop there... Harry on his left... Charlie on his right... Get them involved in the game. Kemp and McGovern forward with Motlop, Moir. Midfield x 2 Rotating through.

This is a great idea …

not all the time but when we are struggling to transition and maybe when team is tiring late in games, having H and Charlie on the wings with their marking and their good field kicking would be very effective.

Kemp McGovern motts Moir and others can kick the goals.

Doubt we cut deep, so I would expect at least this.
Out: Williams (inj), Evans, McGovern
In: Harry, L Camporeale, Lord

Boyd Weitering Haynes
Cowan Silvagni Saad
Acres Cripps Camporeale
Docherty Kemp Fogarty
McKay Curnow Motlop
TdK Cerra Walsh
Hewett (mid) OHollands (back) Cottrell (forward) Young (ruck/fwd/back)
Lord

Lord
IMO it would be terrible if Lord is the sub. Barring an early injury that would mean he would have played 6 quarters of football over 4 weeks. He should either be playing 4 quarters of league or 4 quarters of reserves. Shocking development.

Time for the boys to lift this week. I hope Vossy has a word to them about beating the pies and getting a win on the board. If the boys lift and especially if we have Harry back and he can take a few big marks (especially on the wing what a superstar) and kick a couple of big ones and if Charlie lights up and scores a few and if Kempy continues his form with another bag and if Crippa and the mids LIFT then we can get over the line.
I reckon if the boys lift for Thursday. Vossy will give them a run down about it I'm sure.

I would play him half forward/mid but for that to happen we will need to drop Fogarty or Cottrell. I don’t think Voss will do it.

I wanted us to beat Hawthorn. I felt last years game left me angry and frustrated. Beating Collingwood and sh@#$ing Fly and Daicos clan up, might relieve me……I just don’t feel the team really feels the same as us supporters.

If he was the sub. He’d be able to play vfl over the weekend too

Without seeing or reviewing the VFL scratch match changes i would make..

In - McKay, White, Binns, Moir
Out - Williams, Evans, Acres, Young

Would play Docherty as Sub

Where is Fantasia at, did he play VFL scratch match or not ?
sssssshh .... maybe Vossy's secret weapon against Collingwood..?

I'm expecting the lads to go all out early trying to match it with the Pies.
Problem is ... we'll run out of Gas by the 4th and Collingwood will run all over us ... that's what the buggers do.
I'll take a punt and say Collingwood's 4th Quarter winning record is better than ours....
