46 points allows clubs without strong junior representation an opportunity to be competitive. For the Deer Parks of the comp this should be the starting point unless the objective is for these types of clubs to disappear which in the long run will be disastorous for the competition.

The behaviour of those within the club and suppoters can rightly be questioned but they have set a high bar for others to get over. 3 of thier flags have been by under a goal so they are beatable. Which.clubs are up to the challenge of beating them?

And having a crack at Carro, at least they understand what is needed to succeed in div 1.

The challenge for the WRFL is to have div 1 as the standout comp. Surely a stong Deer Park, Sunshine and St Albans without a srong junior program is critical to that as it gives all tradition FDFL clubs a chanve to challenge at the top level

its a shame to see these guys take on local jobs to get back to vfl as quick as possible i herd scotland was close to getting the job also and he was in the final 3 at williamstown ... Hopefully sunshine have plans in place as he may be one year coach their .. Lot clubs all over the comps should be careful when appointing these guys who will just go back to vfl/afl systems and leave clubs in the lurch..., Not only coach gone for yarraville but a quality big midfielder which is what they needed ... I reckon that aspect hurts more ... Who they get who knows going to be hard to find someone now

Due to a cancellation from an opposing club the North Heidelberg Football Club competing in the top division of the Northern Football League is seeking a practice match for Saturday March 20 for all Mens – Senior/Development & U/19s teams.

The games would be required to be played AWAY due to our ground being unavailable with cricket finals.

That's pretty poor but not surprising. Hobsons Bay Council appears to give priority to Williamstown, Newport and Altona areas.
