Shame about Kyrgios last night, but he was always going to run out of steam at some point, he hasn't had the easiest of runs during the tournament, had played a few challenger events beforehand and has had issues with his fitness in the past.

That being said he has had a fantastic Wimbledon that we can all be proud of and the level of physical development (Endurance) he has had since January is nothing short of fantastic, It really wouldn't surprise me if he was seeded for when the US open comes around as he has no ranking points to defend until after the US open (And even then it is only 70 points so it shouldn't be too much of an issue if he stays active on the circuit).

I feel like the younger Aussies really have an issue with guys with big serves. Tomic had issues with it early in his career too. Might be a case of getting used to the speed to be able to read the ball better, because Kyrgios just crumbled from about the middle of the third set on when Raonic was serving.

Yep agreed, now that he's almost top 50 he should be able to get into some events directly and grab some cheap points that way to boost his rank. Just hope he doesn't become a Tomic and just be a grass court specialist, but he seems to have the game for hard court as well.

After watching Murray last night, I'm pretty sure you could attach that phrase to a discussion about him. Soft as butter.

Actually was really surprised with Murray's humility in defeat last night, seems to have matured a little over the last few years.

Not sure if you caught it but sounded like he was abusing the s**t out of someone in his box. Possibly the girlfriend. Wasn't great. I liked him at the start of his career when he told the pom media to shove it when they referred to him as British rather than Scottish. Then he sold out.

Didn't like that part, just was surprised that he said Dimitrov played better, didn't blame any injuries or a limited preparation, a few years ago he would of found an excuse to latch on to.

Aussie v Aussie in the Brisbane International, Tomic looked pretty good against Kokkinakis, he might yet silence his critics!

Please read my signature in regards to dear Tomug.

Happens every summer, yet by the middle of the year he will once again be struggling. (Although I would love to be wrong)

Kokkinakis will be the better player in the long run incredibly raw and he may take some time to come into his own but he probably has more talent than any other prospect in Australian tennis at the moment.

Hehe... I agree about Kokkinakis but I think Tomic will be as good as he wants to be.

I think that's what pisses me off about Tomug the most... As when he is on he has a beautiful game to watch.

If only he could put in the effort and application off court.

Jeez starting to really think he may come on quicker than I thought. Was clutch under pressure tonight saved 4 match points, 7 break points in the 5th set... Insane performance.

5 Aussie men through to the second round for the first time since 2004 and with Kyrgios up a set (With a suspect back and limited preparation) and Hewitt having a winnable match tomorrow that could be huge for Australian tennis especially with more kids like Jasika coming through it's a really exciting time to be an Aussie tennis fan!!!

Kyrgios is doing pretty well too considering he seems to be carrying some sort of injury... the future looks bright, with or without Tomug ;) Hopefully seeing the two K's doing well will spur him on.

Kyrgios was fantastic.

Needless to say Bonz's sig should be safe for a while ;)

Think my sig is going to be safe until he retires sadly...

Kyrgios was fantastic tonight though, love players who wear their hearts on their sleeves.

" Put your toys back in your cot Nick "

I wonder how many times his mother has said that to him ?

Being a sook and belligerent when things are not going your way is not wearing you heart on your sleeve.

He is being described as a showman and like Monfils that will be his lot as a professional if he continues to carry on like a pickle and not listen to people who actually know what it takes to win Grand Slams. Rafter has continually said he refuses to listen to advice but then again he come from a family of 10 so being a spoiled Brat was never a possibility.

As do I. Sadly, with Australian society placing great value on tearing our own down at any opportunity he will suffer from the same backlash that Hewitt copped for most of his career.

Kokkinakis came back from two sets to love down to beat Tomug at the French Open.

The signature is safe for a while longer!!! (At least until Wimbledon as Tomug is fantastic on grass)

Saw this kicking round twitter this morning.

Players to have made 3rd round of last 4 slams
  • Djokovic
  • Federer
  • Murray
  • Berdych
  • Nishikori
  • Wawrinka
  • Simon
  • Anderson
  • Kyrgios

Really shows how underated Simon and Anderson are, they are most likely not going to ever win an grand slam but both of them have been consistent for so many years.

Kyrgios is in great company though should be interesting his match against Murray
