(I don't have the facility to code the game anymore unfortunately)

Just out of interest, do you still have the code? I wouldn't mind a look at it, might be an interesting project to rebuild it in another language.

bat file is just a bit of a shortcut link type thing
it doesnt work on a mac
either does anyone who owns one

Hate Mobbs after a decade of not having used QOOTY, I downloaded it per the link in the OP. When I go to run it informs that QOOTY can't run without the Utilis folder. Any ideas why it can't locate that from the download files in the link?

At the risk of sounding daft - yeah, I followed the instructions per the link, and then tried to run the batch file?

To clarify, the UTILS folder appears in the list of folders I have unzipped so I don’t understand why it can’t find it when it tries to run?

That is odd - I just installed a fresh version and it works fine.

Download > Unzip > Menu > Any key to install > Auto runs MENU > Exit > MENU.

When does it say it? After the install? When you go to open it back up?

Alright - I don't get as far as install with how you've laid that out. I select Menu and then get the following error log:

In any case, the fact I can't get QOOTY to work is perhaps secondary to my bigger question.

The Commentary folder is very, very useful and exactly what I was hoping for. What I do ask though is what character is meant to be in place of the OPPONENT within that file? When I open in notepad I can see for player with possession and just blank space for the opponent in any given play?
