Surely there are hundreds of ovals in Adelaide that a community sports group could book for a few hours a week? Why is this even an issue?
A smart amateur league club would swoop on this and get their facilities upgraded by offering to share

Someone posted about the 2026 clause at West Lakes, apparently that means we have limited hours per week to use the oval from then.
Has it already kicked in?

Would explain a few things

TBF - The Dublas have played Port in 9 Grand Finals and have won 6...so that's a fair ratio...

Obviously flags against Glenelg and West should be subtracted also, because they’re useless. So that probably leaves Port with about six or seven flags all up.

Not really enough to get into the AFL, they should be booted out immediately.

I more meant the SANFL needs - it sounds like they only need an oval for short periods.
Why would the SANFL leave their base at Thebby for half arsed operation trying to find community club ovals? They don’t have the issue, we do.

Besides they want to ramp up their junior development which is a good thing given SA boys are being left behind the other states. They need a base.

If Norwood got an AFL team would they be able to even use their colours?

Too close to Melbourne's

Norwood with random non red n blue guernseys wouldn't be Norwood
What if they have new colours but guernseys with zippers?

Don’t cave to the nimbys and just get it approved, interesting take. Especially given we didn’t get government backing without saving more trees!

But that’s not an alternative to Thebby and not having to deal with the consequences of negotiating with a party who holds the upper hand, with 2 councils and 2 lots of nimbys.

Whats the alternative to Thebby? Whats the viable contingencies? You seem to have bypassed that to conspiracy theories.

Just gotta think what would Kochie or Eddie do?

They would be on the front foot. Mocking and ridiculing their way into a percieved sway of public opinion.

It all optics and we friggen suck balls at optics.

Wherea the coordinated kickback been from Olsen ans the club in any if this???

Can't be the GOAT. Never played in the big league.

And if you disagree with this logic, Port's 36 Premierships make them the most successful club in the AFL.

Slippery slope there.......

stop buying into their re-written history.

It's either 0 or 34

I dont care what argument you went with. But 1998-99 were won by a different team altogether.
