Mackay was a much tougher player tbh. Mackay got a bit of a bad rap at times but the last few years was painful to watch. We should have traded when he had a bit of value at the backend of his career.

The concept of having outside players and keeping shape around the contest is fine. Sholl is just physically incapable of playing AFL unfortunately

Mackay for all his faults knew when it was his time to go at the ball you go hard. Just didnt have the body. But he was still tough. Much tougher than Sholl

It's not like he's super quick or agile at the moment, so I don't think his skinny frame is offering him any type of competitive advantage. Why doesn't he seriously bulk up and see it improves his game.

Even on the weekend he was getting torched by Nick Martin early, who was an aerial presence at both ends of the field.

Sholl simply not good enough / strong enough to go with him so they had to swap him to the other wing.

They know. So why don't they remember when it comes to the next week's selection?

Yeah dmac was far tougher, more skilled and quick. Sholl is none of those.
