Early prognosis

The Giants will put Daniels through a fitness test later this week ahead of Thursday night's clash with the Lions, after developing soreness over the weekend. Coniglio and Taylor are still at least another week away, but Isaac Cumming (calf) is expected to return through the VFL this weekend. – Riley Beveridge

Really feel for the big guy - the tallest player in our squad. Preuss was previously under the shadow of Goldstein and Gawn, and would have thought that he would be our main ruck when he joined us in 2021. Unfortunately Preuss has only played 10 games for us, and has had a shocking run of injuries.

Injury list looks good, especially if Taylor and Cogs pass their test. But for Preuss, hopefully he is still able to play AFL this year for us - he will be available again after the mid season bye

GIANTS star Tom Green has been cleared of any serious damage to his ankle and will face a fitness test ahead of Saturday’s clash with the Bombers.

The 23-year-old was subbed out of Saturday’s Sydney Derby XXVII following the first-quarter incident, but scans on Sunday revealed positive news for the GIANTS gun, who has been in impressive form.

Stephen Coniglio is also expected to be available for selection this weekend, making a return from a knee injury sustained in round five.

Meanwhile, Isaac Cumming’s return to the AFL side has been delayed, with the wingman suffering a hamstring injury in the VFL on the weekend. Cumming was forced to miss the opening rounds of the season with a calf injury and is now set for another six-week stint on the sidelines.

Adam Kennedy has also been dealt a slight setback in his return from an ACL injury, suffering a minor hamstring injury at training last week.

The GIANTS take on the Bombers at Marvel Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
